Per the San Jose Mercury News article:Pac-12 basketball multi-year [APR] scores announced last week: Stanford: 997 Washington: 986 Utah: 980 Arizona State: 974 Oregon State: 973 USC: 973 Colorado: 971 Washington State: 970 Cal: 961 Arizona: 960 oregon: 958
UCLA: 933
Not only did the Bruins post the lowest multi-year score in the conference by a significant amount, they’re just three points above the cutoff line. [for post season play]: The Bruins’ football program is also struggling with the APR, which awards points for the eligibility and retention of each athlete. The attrition caused by the coaching change — from Jim Mora to Chip Kelly — drove UCLA’s single-year score all the way down to 881..... The football program’s multi-year APR stands at 948, which is also the worst in the Pac-12 Go Beavers! (in the upper half of the conference, incidentally)

When you have many who leave early because they are good enough to leave early, the grad late suffers.

When you have many who leave early because they are good enough to leave early, the grad late suffers. Or have players transfer because they're stuck behind talent.

When you have many who leave early because they are good enough to leave early, the grad late suffers. If you are academically eligible when you leave school to turn professional, there is no APR penalty. That's how Kentucky has a perfect four-year APR score of 1,000 in the 2018 figures. APR and graduation rate are two different entities. Very, very, very few players who entered as freshmen have graduated from uo under Altman. I think Casey Jensen (2017) might have been the first.

I remember when Purdue got a transfer from Oregon State and old Coach Keady went off on national TV on the issue. He pointed out that the player had his degree when he first stepped on the floor at Purdue and he counted against Oregon State and how stupid is that.
