We have not finished 12th at Pac-12s since 2014. I do not think we will finish 12th this year either.
Meets seldom go to form. I have nothing to wager but I bet we exceed 13 points.

Our best distance runner is Juliana Mount. She is a senior but has not ran this year so I'm assuming that she is red-shirting.

So far we have six points. Two in steeple, two in hammer, two by McNairy in the heptathlon last weekend.
We did not do well in the javelin last night, as hoped, too 9, 10 from our top two women and did not score. Destiny Dawson had a bad meet.
Saiska McNairy and Anne Wingeleth are killing it in the long jump, in third and fourth after the first three rounds. McNairy fouled on her first two attempts, then jumped 19-8 3/4 to move into third place. Big points for us in this even possibly.

McNairy and Wingeleth go 4-5 in the long jump for nine points. We now have 15 total points.

Lindsay McShane takes 8th in the discus. Up to 23 points. Could have really had a great meet if the javelin would have performed up to par, but our throwers did very well. David Dumble is an outstanding coach.
We should take 10th, we probably won't score in the 5K. We have not finished last at Pac-12s since 2014, and outperformed the chalk this weekend.
Supposedly we are going to sign upwards of 20 athletes for next year. We are definitely making progress.

But our performance most definitely was not "sad." We received numerous compliments from the commentators on the Pac-12 Network broadcast about the progress of our program. We did considerably better than the OP predicted, and most certainly are getting better in t&F and CC, with much more improvement to come. In two years, coach Quintana took our CC team from 9th place at Pat-12s to the NCAA championship meet (not the regionals). Not even Rueck matched that.

GO BEAVS! I would love to see OSU field a full track team again some day. If I only had a couple $1mm to throw OSU’s way. Start a Men’s program and I’ll send OSU an All-American/ National Champion. *sigh*
