skinshoops86, who does all kinds of close analysis on college wbb, placed Mik on his mock team. She played really well in the scrimmage. Destiny has a lot of competition at the PG position (Aarion McDonald, Te’a Cooper, Sug Sutton, Kiana Williams), so it will be interesting to see if she works her way onto the roster as well.

Mik doing well does not really surprise me. Her defense has improved exponentially this last season. It was formerly the weakest aspect of her game. In her last two seasons, she seems to have sequentially fixed two aspects that she had issues with. Her recent defensive improvement bodes well for her success at the next level. If she makes the team it will also be a big step. Reputation will often count more than substance.
Destiny will have a much more difficult time making the team. There are a lot of PG's who can score at camp. Defense will certainly count a lot in breaking ties and that is an area she still has to work to refine. Aarion McDonald is a major competition for her ( they are about the same height ), however, McDonald was named on the Pac 12 defensive team which is not one of Destiny's strong points . Players who resemble each other tend to be judged comparatively more than ones that do not.

I'm not sure that Mik is going to be the best player nobody has heard of this year. The secret is out.
