The Jordan Brand Classic All Star game is scheduled to be played Saturday April 20 at 3pm PST at Las Vagas. Kennedy Brown will be one of the Players. For those of you who want a chance to see her go against the top players in the Nation.

Mitrovic and Brown love to throw deep outlet passes. Will be fun watching them launch it to Simmons and Slocum.

Yep. She played the second half of the first two quarters. Looks like she won’t play the third, but may start the 4th. Hasn’t shot yet.

One thing I noticed was that the coach put her in right at the end of the 3rd quarter because Angel Jackson the center on the other team had scored 6s straight points. He matched her up against Jackson even though the rest of the time she was matched up against a wing. Her group was scheduled to go in at the start of the 4th but he inserted her in early for what seemed like defensive purposes.
She was basically frozen out of the offense getting only one shot at the basket. These AllStar games mean very little stat wise. Still, I saw a lot of good things from her. I think she most certainly will be able to play the wing as well as the PF and Center position. I can see her and Aquino being on the floor at the same time with other bigs even in the coming year. In this game, she usually played on the perimeter seldom going inside on offense. She makes good decisions and passes well.
I remember when I first saw Sabbally play was in the Jordan classic, she only scored 3 points but I told people I thought she would end up as one of the best in her class. In these games, you have to look for other things beside stats.

An all-star game isn’t an environment where Kennedy is going to thrive. She isn’t going to go out there and start gunning 3s or taking bad shots. Scott Rueck’s system is an environment where Kennedy will thrive.

I tried to watch the live stream, but the game really reminded me of professional level all-star games.....
Not much team chemistry, not a lot of passion on the bench, and not much passing (at all!) or setting up teammates.
Folks were just jacking up shots and not really playing within a team concept.
That said, I saw that KB was not too interested in that sort of thing, she tried to pass to teammates in better positions to score, she high-fived and congratulated teammates on scores, and-ones and made free throws......
In other words, she seems to fit the Beavers culturally, and clearly to get nominated to McDs and Jordan Brand level games indicates she has the skills as well.
Bodes well for the Beavers, and for Kennedy.
And she will have other opportunities to go off in Vegas and show off her skills.....next season can't come soon enough!
