And that we lost one of our best shooters for the entire conference season and postseason. I was just thinking the same thing...... I came across this article about the impact of the loss of Lauren Cox to Baylor, both in the NC game but also taking a broader look at the draft, next season's pre-season rankings (spoiler alert - SI and uo mentioned), etc. and kept thinking about how amazing our finish was upon losing Kat and JT for essentially the entire conference season. Go Beavers! You have a link to the preseason rankings?

You have a link to the preseason rankings? I have not found one yet. Last year ESPN came out with their way-too-early 2018-2019 WBB top 25 on April 12, 2018, so I suspect their 2019-2020 prediction will be out any day/time now.

Starting next year at #8.
When Rueck was hired he said that he didn't want to use OSU as a stepping stone to get to an elite program, he wants to make OSU one of those programs. Finishing in the top ten four years running and now top ten to start next year shows that he is getting there.
Most importantly, he is doing it the right way with the right type of player. This is a program that is easy to support.

Further to the point that only 4 teams have finished in the top 10 each of the last 4 years, and we're 1 of them:
Only 8 teams have finished in the top 25 each of the last 6 years. They are Connecticut, Notre Dame, Stanford, Maryland, Louisville, Baylor, South Carolina, and, of course, Oregon State.

So, in my mind, to strengthen the accomplishment , I believe that the point can be made that, at the end of the season, this is much less of a POLL and more like ' Final National Standings / Results' The term 'Poll' indicates to me that the respective season is not complete. It's like pre-season - high probability of being way off base Mid Season - still a moderate possibility of missing the top teams Pre- tournament seeds - still a big question mark Final 'Standings' - no questions on top two - much fewer questions on 3-25 ,however, in ALL cases related to this, you have a full season, league tournament and National tournament results based also on strong, dynamic, metrics for Strength of Schedule and key wins and losses. In sum, this is not a final 'poll', it represents final 'national standings' after COMPLETION of each respective team's season. Just sayin'

It’s no better or worse than that. There is no methodology beyond having coaches fill in teams in a list of 1-25. It’s certainly nice to finish in the top 10
