Kaitlyn Yanish nails a 9.90 on the Floor in the very final routine to upset #4 Florida and secure a spot for OSU in the National Finals - the "Elite Eight" for gymnastics. It's a huge achievement for a team that started the season ranked in the high teens and was never ranked better than 12th.

This is the equivalent of WGYM making the CWS or the Elite Eight in Basketball. Very well done. OSU will be joined by UCLA and Utah at the Nationals in Fort Worth. Kudos to Scott Barnes' Athletic Dept for stepping forward to bid, win and host the Gymnastics and WBB regionals within a week of each other.

I hear they are trying to make "Acrobatics and Tumbling" an Olympic sport . . .

I hear they are trying to make "Acrobatics and Tumbling" an Olympic sport . . . Who is “they”? When a sport is only contested in one country and only at high school and college level, it has zero chance of becoming an Olympic sport. Additionally, I don't believe the IOC is considering any new sports that are gender specific and I don't see any male versions of A&T happening. Netball will be an Olympic sport before "Acrobatics and Tumbling" aka Competitive Cheerleading.

Free advice to tsdtr women is if Baylor is hosting, don't go. Not safe.

Did anyone see the replay of the poor Auburn girl that broke both legs and dislocated both knee caps on a floor routine a couple days ago?
