Look out for Westbrook to UConn. She is visiting this weekend. A credible source has the early two preferred destinations for Westbrook as Oregon and UConn. I would rather see her at UConn if there is no mutual interest at Oregon State. Westbrook has historically been a quality teammate. In the OSU system and with this coaching staff, Westbrook could thrive in Corvallis.

I personally think it would be a little low of Westbrook to choose Oregon over Oregon State if Rueck did reach out to her (which I have no clue if he did).

I don't know if there are timelines for transfers to decide on their new school.... Also, I do not know when they learn whether they are immediately eligible - or if they must sit a year...
I can see where it would make a big difference to a "transferee" which school she would choose if she knew about immediate eligibility versus having to sit a year....
I presume Evina Westbrook has to weigh these factors in the school she chooses.... At any rate, those of you who understand the ground rules for transfers I would appreciate learning more. As well, those of you who know about EW's probable destination, I'd appreciate hearing from you.....
GO BEAVS !!

In the last couple years transfers weren't notified about their eligibility until fall.

UConn for Westbrook. A little bit of a surprise.

Geno is gonna love her mother. Far, far better for us for her to go there than to tsdtr or some other Pac-12 school.

But at UConn, it's Geno's way or the highway, and that's the last shade she'll be throwing at anyone if she wants to stay in Stoors.

Westbrook has a toxic attitude and has a combative personality that could mess with the dynamics of a team. That in itself is a shame when you run across talent like this that does not have it altogether in that area.

Prefer another verb ? I know nothing at all about her or her family. But from what I have read on this site would tend to bring up the idea of her being 'divisive'. As opposed to team play or a team approach, she seems to demonstrate an example of 'I know better than anyone else what is best for the team, I watched one key Tennessee game towards the end of the year and she was used very sparingly. Maybe she had already cashed out, along with the coach. At the end of the day, I personally cannot support athletes that demonstrate inflated egos, at any level. They may win more games, on average, in a team situation - however, they never seem to get the big prize. Easier with the game of basketball - fewer personalities to deal with, Football is probably most difficult to have a single player spin their team approach into a tight knot. In Baseball , I think of ' I am the straw that stirs the drink' as a shining example. However, Baseball is a very humbling game and that statement alone does not affect team dynamics. In this case, the athlete is speaking about a short time frame, or experience, where he has come through in specific situations. My point being that Ishe may be talented( she is ). She may be a game changer ( she is ), but, unless she plays as a team member - the big prize is made more difficult - not easier. Maybe Geno can get to her to revamp her game ? I am glad she is not at OSU.....I prefer watching Mikayla, because she is the TOTAL package and the definition of a Team player.
