Why would Mississippi State have to travel three-thousand miles as a #1 to play a #2 at their place?
Can't imagine it's fixed but sure is odd.

Darn, they actually made it. I guess it was inevitable with the talent they have. They can also thank us for making their road the easiest in the nation.

So, go Baylor is it? I don't really think Iowa could beat that other team.

It’s our fault. OSU bid to host this regional years ago. Seems like the committee still could have anticipated the #1 seed meeting the #2 in the Elite Eight and not making it so the lower seed had a home game. They did anticipate it. They do it for attendance purposes. If Stanford would have been the higher #2 seed, they would’ve went there. They wanted a west coast seed in that regional, so they highest one went there.

Correct, Judge. WBB has a "250 mile rule" that puts #1 or #2 seed in regional if a team is located within 250 mile range of a regional location. Impacted 3 teams in the tournament (#2 seed, UConn in Albany, #1 seed Notre Dame in Chicago & #2 seed Oregon in Portland). Stanford would have had to be the only #2 seed on the west coast in order to be able to play in Portland due to the 250 mile rule.

So I guess they can thank us for bidding to get the regional, so they could play two more games at home.
They say we should thank Phil Knight for keeping Pat Casey back in the day, so fair is fair, right?
They had an easy trip to the Final Four, essentially playing four home games, but they earned it, so congrats. Now I'll be cheering for Baylor and its nut-job coach, for the first-time ever.
The inability of WBB to draw any fans at true neutral sites does significantly impact the NCAA Tournament's competitive balance.
