They’ll still have a Stanford degree. That’s one of the main differences between the men’s and women’s games. The top recruits are still student athletes not just looking to go to school for 1 year.

Stanford averaged 3,079 per game this year, 3rd in the league behind the Oregon schools. As recently as 2013-14, they averaged 4,266, which was 1st in the league that year. Considering the abysmal attendance they have for home football games, the women's program draws pretty well.
Any kid who is a good enough athlete to play at Stanford, and a good enough student to succeed there, would be a fool not to accept the scholarship. Just my opinion.

Stanford is one school I can't blame any recruit going there. Tara runs a top rated program the right way. Great education and great coaching staff.
It will keep the rest of the pac 12 coaches striving for better.

Shut your mouth. OSU/Rueck beat Stanford/Taya for Mik.

My understanding is that Stanford offered Mikayla, she wasn't prepared to commit immediately, and Stanford withdrew the offer. Am I wrong on that?

Tara has no problem with a roster of 15, and obviously due to elite athletics and academics, it isn’t tough for her to get a lot of commits. My believing was there was no longer a scholarship for Mik due to a few commits right before her. I took it as there wasn’t one available rather than the withdrew it.

The fact is Mik chose OSU after the possibility of going to Furd was no longer there. You withdraw "offers" not schollies to recruits. Hence, there wasn't a scholly and they withdrew the offer of one.

As stated above, I don't know the exact circumstances, but, yes, a foolish decision. In most families, however, teenagers make lots of those. Selfishly, I'm glad she did in this instance, but, later in life, she might look back and think that, even though Oregon State was a wonderful experience, she maybe should have gone to Stanford.
You disagree with that? If one of the young Werebeaver women got an offer from Stanford, you wouldn't try to push her toward accepting it?

To play in front of hundreds of home fans 😐 As usual you have ZERO clue on what you are talking about!!! ZERO OSU's high attendance is a VERY recent phenomena... never cracked the NCAA Top 50 until '14-15 season. Furd has been in the TOP 50 EVERY year since '99-00 season... 2800-4800 fans averaged every year at home games. They are by far and away the premier program in women's hoops in this conference. They are the program every one else hopes to become. PS- ASU, UW, UCLA, Cal and Oregon are consistently seen in the TOP 50 over the last 20 seasons. I believe lil old Montana has been in the TOP 50 for 20 years.

I doubt she will ever second guess her decision to attend OSU and play for Coach Rueck. I’ve known a number of Stanford grads over the years. Some are exceptional, some are average. Some are successful and happy, most are quite ordinary, normal folks with ordinary, normal struggles. If I had a daughter who had WBB offers from both Rueck and Tara, I’d encourage her to choose the school and program that she felt was the best fit for her. And I wouldn’t consider her a fool if she chose OSU. 🙂
