Interesting listening to that presser. If Walz does go to Tenn. he pretty much lays it out. It's all about recruiting. As much success as he has had at UL he is still having troubles getting recruits. While Tenn. has been steadily downhill for a while now and is still getting the top recruits. He wants a NC and he figures he won't get it w/o the players. Tenn. can get him the players. And he might be right.

Interesting comment in there in his opening statements (about 1 minute in) "you won't see videos of the kids throwing water on us coaches, they were in the locker room eating food, they expected to be here".......perhaps these top teams ratchet up expectations to where you can't celebrate every win, but that seems like a bit of a joyless existence as well.
Very different personality from SR - but seems like an interesting character.....thanks for posting.

Walz is also the coach that puts a fitbit-like monitor in every player's bra and actually monitors the girls' "output" during the games. I can see why a coach would want that, but, again . . . joyless.
