Big series this weekend. Would be great to start off PAC 12 with a sweep...really need to get the home series win.

I looked up ASU stats...pitching is comparable to ours. They team batting average is lower, but never count out an ASU team. I'm glad we get them at home. Weather looks good for Friday & Saturday.

FYI...ASU playing a Japanese college team on PAC-12 network Tuesday night. Good opportunity to see what they look like.

Plus Ryan Kellogg is gone. Sometimes he throws no-hitters against us. Big weekend. Our guys are going to be ready to play!

Nice comment from Aaron Fitt:
— that Oregon State offense is the real deal, but it’s impossible for any offense to perform at peak capacity every game. ASU looks pretty interesting, and they probably feel like they’ve got something to prove — wouldn’t shock me to see the Devils go up there and give the Beavs all they can handle. But ultimately, I think experienced, mentally tough teams like Oregon State know how to handle themselves in big series like this. I don’t expect the Beavers to get punched too hard.

Looking at ASU and who they've played. Some quality series against Long Beach State, Fullerton, and UC Davis. Then it looks like they played a few mediocre teams like Xavier and Eastern Michigan. The Japan team, they beat 4-3, but read a quick article about it and it was more of a gesture of goodwill and showing how innovative ASU is by trying to reach out and connect with global partners across the world. More of a feel good story. I guess ASU used 9 pitchers and a lot of freshmen. Wouldn't hold too much weight on that game.
Looked at ISR and SOS. We're at 147. ASU's at 128. So similar non-conference SOS. Those SOS's will go down soon enough once we get into Pac-12 play. I like our chances for a series win, especially at home! Go BEAVS!
