I will come back and add stats later.
Boise State: The Broncos of Boise State average 75.1 PPG (shooting 44.4% FG and 35.3% 3FG) while surrendering 63.4 PPG. They average 8 3PM per game and 35.9% of their attempts come from behind the arc. They average 37.0 RPG, out rebounding their opponents by a margin of 2.4 RPG. They average 16.5 APG on 28 FGM per game. Their opponents average 18.8 T/O per game. Most impressive win is likely their 73-69 victory of UW.
Starting 6 (All average between 28.3 and 21.5 MPG) (2 Forwards started all 32 games, 4 guards have started between 25 and 21 games):
RS Sr. 5'8" G Jayde Christopher: (28.3 MPG) A Kansas transfer, Christopher leads the team in assists, averaging 5.5 APG. Scores 6.3 PPG shooting 41.6% on FG and 32.3% on 3FG (Attempts less than 2 3FG per game).
Sr. 5'11" G Marta Hermida: (24.1 MPG) The Spaniard averages 10.3 PPG, shooting 42.2 FG% and 36.8 3FG%. 53% of her shots come from behind the arc. Averages a team second-best 4.3 RPG.
Jr. 5'8" G Braydey Hodgins: (27.4 MPG) The Junior leads the team in Scoring (13.4 PPG), FGA (289), 3FG% (41.9%), 3FGM (70), FTM (91), FTA (111). She also shoots 46.4% from the field. 58% of FG attempts come from behind the arc.
RS Jr. 6'2" F A'Shanti Coleman: (23.3 MPG) The Arizona transfer averages 9.8 PPG, shooting 52.4 FG% (second on the team). Only 3-11 from 3 on the year, so not a huge threat at all from beyond the arc. Second on the team with 4.3 RPG. Leads the team with 0.8 BPG and 1.6 SPG.
Sr. 6'0" F Joyce Harrell: (21.5 MPG) The Senior averages 6.5 PPG on 46.2% shooting. Has not attempted a 3 on the season, which is a good sign for Jo. Leads the team with 5.7 RPG
Jr. 5'9" G Riley Lupfer: (26.9 MPG) The Junior is second on the team in PPG, averaging 11.0. Leads the team in 3FG%, and 70% of her FGA come from behind the arc, where she shoots 32.5%. Preseason MWC POY, but her numbers are well down from a season ago.

Hosting at home the first two rounds, with the best opponent a badly wounded #5 representing a vengeance game (and may not get out of the first round given their really tough situation). I don't believe there's a team with an easier first-two round path. Of course, all that matters happens on the court, but not making it to the sweet 16 with this draw would be a big whiff.
Gonzaga is a deep team and still can play, but losing your #2 and #4 scorers, plus your versatile floor leader/pg is a lot to overcome vs. a guard-strong team like OSU (and BYU for that matter, that handled them multiple times this season).
Hopefully OSU returns to their earlier shooting form, and we get another shot against Louisville.

All juniors or seniors. They definitely have experience ...and they are definitely small in stature.

And I guess we will see Mallory McGuire on the Boise State bench, but not on the floor. And the Wirth sisters for the Zags, both of whom I believe we were recruiting..... One of the injured is Laura Stockton, daughter of John and their starting PG.
Go Beavers!

What gives me cause for concern is the following:
*As good a coach as Scott is, his teams have often had considerable difficulty with the first round game
*The last several games of the season have all been close- OSU has not been able to distance themselves from anybody. In a close game, anything can happen.
*I live in Spokane and watch the women's team. They beat Stanford this year, and a couple of years ago beat OSU in a tournament game at Corvallis. I believe they are a much better team than the Washington women's team that beat OSU in the PAC 12 tournament. Their center is very athletic and talented and Jo will not be able to guard her. They also have two other girls (twins) who are 6'3" and strong inside players. This is not a good match up for OSU.
*OSU has been in some time of funk recently with their 3 point shooting really going in the dumpster.
I hope I am wrong here, go Beavs!

The absolute worst matchup for Jo is someone who shoots threes. Is Zykera Rice better than UCLA's Onyenwere or Drummer, two undersized, but very athletic forwards? I personally don't think so. Jo matched up pretty well with those two and used her length well. We have recruited quite a few of the Zags, Chandler Smith (who transferred from Nebraska), the Wirth twins, and Kylee Griffen (who is inactive). Not sure who else we recruited. I wasn't all that impressed with the Zags in their recent two losses to BYU.

Zags beat us when Wayne Tinkle's daughter was a senior there in Wayne's first year as our coach. I recall him sitting in the Gonzaga section and cheering for his daughter and her team - as you would expect him to. Would guess he'll have a different loyalty this time.
That's a shame about the season ending injuries to 2 of their players, but we won't have Kat on the floor either. Anyway, it's win or go home. Those being the only 2 choices, I'd opt for win.

Updated the Boise State scouting report. They use a 6-player rotation for the most part, all averaging around 21-29 MPG.
I like that they have a starter who is yet to attempt a three yet. Jo won't have to chase her out behind the arc. Seems like they might go four guards at times. We have a lot of mismatches, just need to take advantage. If they play man, I hope to see an aggressive Slocum finishing at the rim. Too often instead of going up with a shot she stops at the hoop and forces a bad pass.

OSU has advantages all over the floor if the coaching staff matches up accordingly. If we are playing a team, like UCONN, who have 5 fast, athletic, run up and down the floor players, that is not a time to have JG on the court. We have MW, JT, AG, & JS who match up better as our 5th player. If we are going against a 5 that isn't mobile, doesn't shoot beyond the key, then we lead with JG. I hope our coaches show flexibility with the 5 players we put on the court.

I didn’t like the comment regarding Destiny. I don’t think Destiny will either.

I didn’t like the comment regarding Destiny. I don’t think Destiny will either. Indeed, I think the coach was trying to say "Destiny was not interested in staying in-state or attend a local school" (and it has been documented that DS didn't even look at OSU, so we were in the same category), but it came off sounding like either DS doesn't know geography or she was too snooty to give them the time of day...... Everyone seems to respect the guy, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he is a sourpuss, Miller-esque grumpy coach. That said, I think DS should take great exception to the comments and go off for 40 against the Broncos :-). Go Beavers!

This weekend feels like a preseason warm up so to say. Stanford must be livid.
