Isn't bribery half the reason these schools' endowments are as big as they are? Apparently it's only a problem if others are trying to get in on the payday too. well I think Stanford's is the FAANG stocks. Plus all the high level talent they push out. USC has the film school. And all the film & TV industry. UCLA has Sam Gilbert's ghost they've been riding for 50 years. Plus being a very good school. $500k is a eye dropper in the ocean for them. Plus part of that is split off to the school handler...ie: embezzled/stole/bribed/bedazzled

University of Spoiled Children, indeed. The Stanford community is every bit as smug, entitled and spoiled as USC's.

That building screams "Elite University". Juxtapose that vs a photo of the interior from the 1980s.

"Rudy Meredith, Yale’s women’s soccer coach for more than two decades, had previously helped Singer fake the soccer credentials of a child of a Singer client. But in spring 2018, he solicited a bribe directly from the father of a second Yale applicant, whom the Department of Justice designated as “Yale Applicant 2.”
What the coach did not know was that the parent took the proposal to federal prosecutors because the parent was already charged in a stock fraud and was looking to cut a deal, according to the court papers."
One bad apple spoils the whole bunch. LOLOL.
