So many hits throughout the 60's and 70's the number one call drummer in LA. 40 No. 1 singles, 150 Top 10 hits. Between him and Earl Palmer they ruled the recording scene in LA for 20 years. If you wanted groove you went with Earl. If you wanted thunder you went with Hal A Partial list of Hal's hits - All #1's: I Get Around - The Beach Boys I Got You Babe - Sonny and Cher Mr Tambourine Man - The Byrds Good Vibrations - The Beach Boys Monday Monday - The Mamas and the Papas Strangers in the Night - Frank Sinatra These Boots Are Made for Walkin - Nancy Sinatra Mrs Robinson - Simon and Garfunkel Close to You - The Carpenters Cracklin' Rosie - Neil Diamond One of my Hal Blaine Favorites: If God needs a drummer, he's got one now.
