From my point of view, the single most important thing OSU basketball could do for next year would be to do everything possible to improve Kylor Kelley's game.
I think there are well recognized "Big Man Training Camps" (such as the one run by Hakeem Olajuwon) that would benefit Kelly tremendously.
Also increased weight and endurance training. Obviously a lot of this will depend on his degree of effort, but the opportunities should be clearly provided for him.
Also, I believe I read somewhere that he had significant dental problems. If it has not already happened, those need to be taken care of.
If he does make significant offensive improvement, the be sure he gets the ball often in the post area.

Unfortunately there has been no evidence to ever develop an inside game other than the slashing/driving of the "sons". OSU hasn't had the greatest of 'bigs" in the last 5 years, but there also has been little to develop and incorporate them into a significant part of the offense. Drew was limited in some skills, but he should have been developed at a much higher level and been a far bigger factor than he was on the offensive end. As of now the "bigs" are treated as screen 1st and get what you can on your own. I can't even count how many times Big G would work hard to get a guy on his back this season only to be ignored in the post. He had improved his post up game and baby hook over both shoulders to little or no avail.
I can tell you (from the same source that mentioned another possible player leaving) that Wilson transferred out not only due to playing time, but the lack of follow up during recruiting discussions. Very little time was spent on post development and he and his family never saw him becoming a productive garbage/face up player. I do not see WT suddenly becoming enamored with post play... which I think will be his demise as recruits leave and recruiting hovers in the 8-10th level in the Pac12.

Very insightful and informative post! I think the fact that Drew is now on an NBA roster clearly shows (a) how much potential he has and as you have so clearly stated (b) how little of that total potential was developed at OSU. It seems paradoxical that a head coach who was a post player would "miss the boat" so badly in this area. However your conclusion is spot on.
