It was really apparent in the replay - Katie is just that important for our D.

It's not all about scoring. KtMac is the rock in or team, she is a quiet leader that leads by example. When others have a bad play she lets then know it is ok. On the other hand when a schmuck had a bad play, i gets in their face yelling at them. I saw it multiple times in this game, as well as in others. She will even get into the coaches faces. Never do you see that kind of disrespect from a beaver.

Force her to her weak side, force her take and make a low percentage shot but DONT bail her out with a foul. sometimes you can play it properly and still give up a lucky/fortunate shot. Just don’t let them have a 3-point swing. |

I don't think every motivation style should be painted as "leadership." Motivating players through humiliation is not leadership. It is cruelty. Competitive players like Jordan and Payton are cruel to their teammates. Does not make them leaders. It did make them winners. |
