Fr (broken record) Frankie Hammoude went three for three with three rbi, walked once and is hitting .667 after seven games
Fr Maiah Radar went two for three with an rbi single. On one of her hits she legged out a routine grounder to second fininshing with a strong head first slide into first. She can scoot. The game was on the web and when the play happened I though to myself she's safe with little confidence that blue would say it. Kudos to the ump for she was safe indeed. She also played well on defense after last weeks yips. She had three assists and two put outs. One of the nice plays she made was a hit up the middles where she fielded it cleanly and stepped on second with her stride foot and on to first for a double play. Another was at the last out of the game. With two on and two outs a ball was hit to her right and she fielded it cleanly and made a strong throw to first. The field is condensed to the point that if you slightly bobble a ball you got no chance to get the out unless you have a pretty slow runner.
Sr Meerha Nelson pitched a complete game scattering six hits and giving up two runs. The end got a little dicey and I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but she hung in there and sealed the deal. Very happy for her.
Tomorrow's schedule
Cal Poly at 9
Ole Miss at 2
