According to 247, Beavs offered him end of January. He's listed at 6-7, 215 lbs. JUCOrecruiting.com has him ranked number 33. Looks like he's averaging 13.3 ppg (on 55% shooting and 36% from 3) and 7.7 rpg. Originally from Canada, so maybe WT is trying to build a Canadian pipeline with Vernon and this guy. Not much in the way of offers (East Carolina, FIU, St. Bonnie, and San Diego).
The only other offer 247 shows out is the one to Kenyon Martin, Jr. His recruitment has really gone quiet after he announced he would take an official visit to West Virginia (his dad played for Huggins when he was at Cincy). Not even sure if he made the visit or not.

Offering a JC forward who plays the same/similar role to Tres? Probably wouldn't see much in the way of playing time his first year if Tres stays beyond this season. He'd be competing more with Zach and Al if that were the case.

He'd be competing more with Zach and Al if that were the case. Our starting lineup is usually the Thompsons, Tres, Kelley and Hollins/Reichle...I would expect this guy, if he comes here, to compete for the position or at least provide depth in the Hollins/Reichle position.

That all is very logical, I will take it one step further. Is WT coming to realize that Reichle isn't producing enough on either end to justify his spot and looking to upgrade. I might be putting my own conclusions into WT's mouth here... or reading into his bigger plan for next year.
I just can't see Tres leaving early. I think he will struggle to score as much at the next level and I can't imagine him leaving early. Again, might be typing with more of my heart than my head.
