Katie.
This is your senior year. You know Rueck’s system inside-out. You’re the ultimate teammate. You’ve proved it by hitting big shots in multiple big games.
You also know more about basketball than I ever will, growing up a coach’s kid and starting at a top 20 D1 team for four years.
So I will humbly offer the following advice as you head into the home stretch of your basketball career.
Don’t get to the end of it and regret the shots not taken.
Time to shine.

She is so versatile and has such a unique skillset, which is what makes this all the more confusing. She is a 6’2” guard with a smooth stroke. If anyone knows about the Civil War, its our senior Oregonian. I really hope she kicks it up a gear offensively and continues to defend at a high level. She was so efficient in the beginning of the season, but her percentages have seemed to drop, and I think it has more to do with hesitance and confidence than it does anything else.

Well said @werebeaver and @beaverwbb fan!
I have not been able to watch the Cal game as I am on the road, but from the stat sheet I saw that KTMac basically took 1 shot and grabbed 1 board every 10 minutes she was out there (3 shot attempts in 30 min), and 1 assist every 15 min. Again - didn't see the game, so for all I know she is who kept Anigwe in check (though stat sheet indicates Anigwe got hers). I would like to see what happens if KTMac put up 20 attempts (in system and rhythm, mind you). If she had a good 40% outing and a few are 3s, I would like our chances for the W a lot more. Right now she is inviting the "Gabby Hanson strategy" where teams would completely drop off of Gabby to double on Syd or other perimeter/paint threats. Odd that in a SR system that seems to stress high levels of defense and scoring threats from every position our senior should be beset by this "low key" approach! I guess in another year or so we might be at a point where everyone on the court is a challenge to go off. C'mon KTMac, wouldn't dropping 30 points on the 'ucks be a career highlight??
Go Beavers!
