Bladder cancer. Keep in mind that all this happens in the bladder up through the johnson. Scope, wait a month, surgery to remove two tumors, wait a month to heal, then six weekly treatments where they put some kind of joy juice up in there. Hold it for two hours and then drink a ton, pi$$ into bleach for six hours to kill the stuff. Wait another month. Today, I got scoped. Clean. Gone. Downside is that I get to get scoped every three months for two years and six months from now, get three treatments just to make sure. To all those folks I tailgate with, thank you for all your prayers, thoughts, and support. BTW, I have had more strange women handling my junk in the last few months than you guys have fingers. And, insurance has paid every nickel of it. 😂
Glove, move this to wherever you want. Thanks for understanding. Today is a GREAT day to be a Beaver.

I had a real big kidney stone once, and they stuck a scope up my donger to break it up a bit to help it come out. That was uncomfortable to say the least, so I am incredibly sympathetic to your lack of excitement about future scopes. However, I have to imagine it is a small price to pay for the great news of being cancer free! I hope you have a completely uneventful next 2.5 years!

Tigard, I gotta tell you I was scared $hitless going in. Just to tell you, my heart rate and blood pressure were lower after the fact than it was going in and that was just a local in the dong. Nothing up inside when he was rooting around. Nurse told me to drink a lot and pee a lot. Asked about beer, her replay was, "well, yes," with a huge smile. Beak Breaker is going in.

Congrats!
It might be helpful to others to hear how you figured out something was wrong to begin with. Symptoms?
Might be helpful to a fellow human.

Actually, I had no clue. Being 70 years old, I go to an Internal Medicine doctor. He insists on a visit every 6 months whether I need it or not. Complete with labs. Day after, he calls me at home and tells me I have a trace of microscopic blood in my urine and tells me I need to see a urologist and do it now. Even gave me the name of the guy he wanted me to see. Turned out it was a young sharp guy in a non-affiliated clinic. The results of the scope was two high grade non-invasive tumors. The non-invasive was the big deal as they were new and were only on the surface of the internal layer of the bladder.
Bottom line, GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR REGULARLY, and if you are an old fart, get an internal medicine specialist. He found something that wasn't quite right and he pretty much saved my life. Finding one with a sense of humor helps as I told him that it was his fault and I was holding him responsible for all the $hit I was going through. And, BTW, thanks.

Finding one with a sense of humor helps as I told him that it was his fault and I was holding him responsible for all the $hit I was going through. And, BTW, thanks. Being an older than Sagey old fart, I already had a urologist, but I was not happy with the treatment and six weeks ago I got a new one. The new one did a full workup on me and found something he didn't like. I find out tomorrow morning at 7:45. It could be a problem or maybe not, we shall see. As with Sagey, he found something in the urinalysis that caught his attention and took immediate action--more tests, inspection of bladder, cat scan etc. So, we shall see. The "inspection", contrary to what I understand Sagey to say was a non event-no pain, no strain. I even got to look at the screen as he examined the inside of my bladder. I am not talking about the surgery part. I have not had that experience. I had to laugh at his comment above about the nurses. I had a different problem some years ago where I had to self-catheterize for a while. This experienced nurse asked me if I wanted a lesson on how to do it and I said yes. She said, "don't worry about it, I have seen so many of these things in my years here it means nothing to me." This was in the days before the modern world became obssessed with "dick-pics". So, the advice to see your doctor regularly is right on the money. If he is not showing good interest in your health, get one who is. GZR

Wow, when they say take care of your pipes, usually they are talking about your voice!
That is great news - please continue to take the best of care and it sounds like you have an excellent group of docs (and friends and family) around you to work with and to take care of you. Prayers for continued remission.
