I got so excited when Trish hit this. 7 points in just 6 minutes! 4th leading scorer for the beavs. Very excited she stepped up when the Beavs needed it.

anybody hold their breath when Jo went out? Ankle or something. I was saying to myself....what else can go wrong. Then PM came in & showed a little something. I wasn't as down on her as @baseba!!!!1. But she just hasn't had much floor time.
When Jo came back she was setting screens like a mutha. One of em the Cal player turns the corner and just goes doink and right to the floor. Never saw Jo (I know right) Jo barely moved. It was funny watching Jo...first set a screen for the PG, then run over to the wing, then the other wing.

Swoosh beats Stanford by 40 at Maples. We’ve got them right where we want them 😐 Wierd weekend for Pac-12 WBB. Beavers play their worst game of the year and does so against Stanford. In contrast, Stanford plays one of its best games of the year against OSU, and then turns right around and plays by far its worst game of the year (maybe the worst in 30 years!) against the Ducks. Inexplicable because the Beavers are much better than they looked, Stanford played like Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde, and the Ducks are not 40 points better than Stanford. Utah wins some good games like the win against Stanford, gets ranked in the top 20, then immediately proceeds to lose 4 straight. Here's hoping the Beavs shooting improves drastically on Friday and they keep it close at Oregon. Sure, I want OSU to win, but it's not very likely. The normal Sunday game has been moved to Monday Feb. 18 at 6 pm on ESPN2. Wooh Whooo!

The initial reply and discussion was why she wasn't, but should be getting more playing time. The facts and her level of play are pretty obvious as she's not played 90 min yet, not played in 1/3 of the games. Stating the rather obvious doesn't mean she can't/won't contribute like today or even more. But, I'm use to "bad press" 🍻

Although she did have one sequence where she nicely secured a 50/50 rebound against Anigwe and then immediately proceeded to throw her outlet pass right to a Cal player. So she's still learning. But - at 6'-7" if she can start to hit this shot with consistency. That's going to be hard for any center in the conference to stop.

This was a great win considering how bad things went against Stanford. Once the Beavs took the lead they never let go of it. Definitely showed some grit and determination and there were a lot more open shots today against the Cal defense. The 3 ball just isn't as open anymore as it used to be, but as was posted earlier, just scoring steadily made up for the periodic hot shooting of Cal. It's kind of obvious but teams play better when they see shots going in. Keeps morale up. Stanford got to feel what it's like to be cold and have a hot opponent today.
