Do just what Stanford did. Over play the perimeter and if you get beat off the dribble, so what, there are athletic D1 posts waiting for them who can block shots and rebound. Pretty simple really. My only hope for this year is to get PM at least 20 minutes per game so she gets the D1 experience and competition that she needs because she sure as h*$l not getting it in practice.

Get players as good as Stanford's. Pretty simple.
I have to scratch my head and wonder "WTF?" when you say "my only hope for this year" when we are 19-4 overall and 9-2 in conference in what is clearly a rebuilding year from the last five or six, given the departure of Gulich, the unavailability of Aquino and the injury to Tudor.

The term “lady beavs” is silly.
There aren’t any “gentlemen” or “lady” Beavers. Just Beavers, thank you.

IMO: Stanford has players that are a bit taller (except for Grymek) and more athletic/skilled at certain moves which were exploited well by the Cardinal, is deeper, executed a strong game plan, is well coached, plays excellent defense, benefited from home court advantage, and played with heightened intensity, great focus and added motivation to beat the no. 7 ranked team. Their advantages were magnified by OSU's unusual poor shooting, somewhat less than stellar game plan/execution, and lack of adjustments. End result of all these factors: a convincing win by Stanford. Yeah, the Beavs had a disappointing performance in a road loss to a great team, but the season is going about as well as can be expected so far. That said, OSU needs to win at least one of the next 3 games so they don't end out of the top 4 in the conference or out of the top 16 if at all possible.

Those of us who follow the Beavs know very well the weaknesses of this team, and the coaches know as well. Your solution to beating the Beavs, is way to easy. If it was that easy, the Beavs would have a lot more losses. Why didn't all the other coaches in the Pac-12 (and post season play), watch the way UCLA beat the Beavs last January and do the exact same thing.....it's just not that easy. You are right though, teams do their best to exploit what they feel are the weaknesses of the other team, and the Beavs have weaknesses....but so does most other teams.
This one loss isn't the end of the the Beavers hope for the season. The Cal game is huge though. To remain in the top four in the conference, it's almost a must win.
Slightly changing the subject...
How about Utah losing at home to USC? That was a shocker. Today's matchup between Utah and UCLA is gigantic for both teams, if either of them want to end up in the top four.

your right, we all know the weaknesses of this team. The purpose of my post was to express the importance of PM getting more minutes. Most coaches say players develop better and faster when competition is present in practice. No doubt PM is getting excellent coaching in practice but it just isn't the same. She needs more game minutes to prepare her for next year otherwise we could be facing the same weakness. There are several good freshman posts in the pac that are starting, I think PM is as good as any of them.
GO BEAVS

As of recently a productive trip down the floor entailed not being stripped of the ball, and not falling to the floor. PM is no where near a Pac12 starter, for any team. Her minutes earned are exactly what's she has shown in games. PM is a freshman project. She's a bit more athletic Ruth at this same stage... awkward and uncoordinated. If the incoming "bigs" are as talented as some think, and Aquino is fully healthy, PM will have a tough time getting minutes next year unless she improves dramatically.

I agree with gowenbeavs. Evidently CR considers PM to still be a liability and it might have something to do with learning the complex defense? However, if I was coach, I would would play her more even if she has a ways to go. The possible risk is that I might be driven out of town by the fans and this board. I am guessing that the strategy with PM is that this is not a traditional building year and we have the possibility of going far this year. The injuries this year might have pushed the situation a little more towards the building year category although I am the first to admit that as a fan, there are important considerations that are unknown to me. As an aside, the effort put in by Jo and Maddie has been remarkable although todays game against Cal is going to be a tough matchup in the paint.

Everyone "sees" what they will... only one that counts is SR. That said, attending every home contest and watching the rest, PM is a liability on both ends... playing 4 on 5 with her in the game. She may be tall, but she is weak and not a physical presence on D. She can't hold her position and only snares rebounds that are directly in her reach. She is typically off balance and has fallen to the floor more than any big I can remember... on both ends. Offensively it is again basically 4 on 5. She doesn't set solid screens, often rolls "backward" blind to the passer. And, if/when open often has a tough time controlling passes and loose balls. That said she has good shooting form, 75% on only 12 attempts, and will get stronger and more coordinated. She also doesn't seem to pick up fouls at an alarming rate (1 foul/4 min), but they do seem to come in bunches vs quality bigs. She has only been in 16 of 23 games... 5 min/game... for a reason. Her "positive" stats are mostly built in blow out situations vs an inferior opponent or subs.

I'm a realist and a pragmatist when it comes to player evaluation.... Until the Cal game today my point of view on PM was similar to what baseba1111 writes above - though not as harsh.
Today at Cal she delivered bigger and better than I have seen all year. She's not there yet, obviously. Not close. But today I saw promise in her game, and equally important for a Big, in her body that I have not seen before.
Her hands (and arms) are agile....She needs at least 15 more pounds to meet the demands of her position....But I am very encouraged by how effectively she handled herself today....
We're not talking this year here. But I'm a lot higher on her game right now than is baseba1111... When October rolls around she just might be a very pleasant surprise... 6'7" agile and a summer in Corvallis will make her a player.....I'd say.... GO BEAVS !!

I'm going to agree with 411500. I haven't watched today game yet, so I'm glad to hear the positive reviews. I just remember watching her in the Colorado game and thinking to myself, "she's going to be alright". No, she's not ready yet, and she may not even add a lot next year, but I think she has a real shot of giving the Beavs a couple solid years.
I know the coaches always try to say nice things about the players, but SR seems pretty sincere when he speaks highly of Trish.

I'm not "down" on PM. The initial reply and discussion was why she wasn't, but should be getting more playing time. The facts and her level of play are pretty obvious as she's not played 90 min yet, not played in 1/3 of the games. Stating the rather obvious doesn't mean she can't/won't contribute like today or even more. But, I'm use to "bad press" 🍻

Trish's progress from the beginning of the year has been great. She has been learning about the tools of basketball in practice and now she's starting to be able to use those tools in games. She was so far behind other players in passing, shooting etc that she didn't know what to do out there. At this rate she's going to be amazing in a couple of years. Against Notre Dame they scored and she fouled three possessions in a row, now she's in there scoring and holding her own against maybe the best center in the college right now. She is a fantastic learner. Goooo Trish!
