I hope they play scared too, but history is on their side - we are something like 1-29 down there.....
According to the Kerry Eggers article just posted, Mik didn't turn Stanford down, they yanked the schollie from a still-deciding Mik when they got some other commit. This was news to me, but reminds me of what happened to Gary Payton and St. John's, and I don't mind us benefiting from poor choices of otherwise excellent coaches......
Go Beavers!

She had the chance to go there, albeit by having to make an immediate decision. She declined. Then they pulled the offer. So yes, she turned them down.
Their loss, and it doesn't sound as if she was too broken up about it. Not everyone thinks Stanford is everything they think it is.

Hope springs eternal in this match up, though history goes against the Beavs. Not to jinx, but Realtime picks Stanford by 17, with a 78% win probability, 82-65. Massey has it much closer to a 50-50 game, picking Stanford 74-71. with Stanford at 56% win probability. I think that Massey has it more right. Should be a close game, with a nod to Stanford for home court and only one double over time loss to OSU in the last 30 years.

If you use Grymek perfectly, she has the superior height to score inside no matter what they do. And Slocum has as yet unknown potential that we haven't glimpsed yet. This may be the game when we really find out what she can do.

this is a HUGE game for both teams. Let's hope SR and the ladies respond better to 'big game' pressure than WT and the men did on Thursday Well, the Pac-12 Network recognizes the importance of tonight's games, as they are actually doing a 1/2 hour pregame show starting at 5:30 pm. Now that's a rarity.

The production crews are not.

In Slocums second quarter burst, Grymek played an active part in getting her off. Grymek set 4 picks that played a part in Slocums getting to the basket for four scores in a row. Slocum is very good at using picks. She will draw and run her defender into them constantly. Grymek is constantly setting picks but many of the other Beavs do not seem to take advantage of them. With her size she sets some really effective ones.

OK, sorry my bad. I guess I don't pay enough attention. I heard them advertising/promoting this particular pregame show which I never heard before for other games, so I presumed it was kind of rare.

They have allowed and enabled the fiasco that is the Pac12 and its TV package, organization, and extreme wasteful management. So, yes... I've spoken... as have many others. Try... I mean, really try to keep up. 🍻

But solely with respect to their choice of conference commissioner for their sports programs, they are all idiots. Is that what you're trying to say?

Is Larry Scott the highest, most over paid conference commissioner who has wasted/ cost the conference millions? There's your answer. See... I knew you could do it😜
