On SB weekend. FSU on Thursday night, Poly on Saturday. Was very close to making a very long road trip to see these duals. Schedules dictated otherwise.
Fresno is the biggest challenge. We beat them last time, but it's a different season. Need both Willits to keep winning and any one else on the fence to getting to the NCAA tournament.

Dhesi must be dinged up as they have him as "or" with Robertson. Robertson wrestled vs CCC Friday night. Also saw that Devan Turner won the California Collegiate Open last week. We sent about 10-12 guys down...

Really looking forward to next season. Fresno State might get the shutout. This is the real dumpster fire sport.

What happened with Hunter? is the injury bad? And we really got run over, just way too many guys who are not at this level. Also have we given up on Myles Terry? He didn't do too bad last season, maybe a sophomore slump this year.

He didn't do too bad last season, maybe a sophomore slump this year. Purely speculating, but it appeared to be a concussion to me - not sure if they knocked heads or he took an elbow, was going to go back and look for it on Flo today. It was hard to see because of lighting and he was on far side of the mat. But he was definitely dazed and not the same. He tried to give it a go after injury time and I believe the coaches quickly realized he was out of it, stepped in and stopped it. Terry wrestled at the California Collegiate Open last weekend. He just needs to keep working & get better. He could have really used a RS. Doyle looked good, Bresser did that thing where he comes out amped up and super aggressive (:15 sec pin!) vs those other days where he seems completely disinterested & sleep walks to a 5-1 victory. Reyes and Little Willits could have easily won their matches. Very sloppy, it was there for the taking. Update: just watched again, Wright was on his back in top position and just sort of drove Hunter face first into the mat. Kind of a freak thing.

Yeah I hope Hunter's injury isn't serious. We shall see if he goes tomorrow vs Cal Poly. The losses by guys we had on the fence or even long shot to make NCAA's are tough. As of now, Bresser, Dhesi locks. Hunter on the fence. All others probably be staying home. I hope I am wrong. Lastly, if this was bad, we will be in store for more humility vs ISU and Stanford.

This is atrocious. OSU has really fallen far enough that a school who didn't even have a team 2 years ago can beat them? I am done supporting Z. It's time for him to be done. OSU needs a young face that can start landing some in state talent, and then develop it. It isn't going to get better from here, and I would hate to lose more of something at OSU that was once pretty special.
I'm not normally a "Fire this coach, he sucks" guy, but this is bad. The only program west of Wyoming that should be able to compete with us is ASU, and "we" should still be better than them.

There is a very good chance the Beavers could have their best NCAA finish in years. A very positive possibility. At the same time, the tank is close to being nearly empty for years. The future is absolutely bleak.

As in individual finish?
I did always see wrestling as something that could be like a baseball/gymnastics niche out in the PNW of college sports. Unfortunately there was such a big downfall after that one year it seemed sharp.
