That was a great game between Stanford and Cal last night. I only watched it from late third quarter on. The game was back and forth, but Cal had a small lead most of the way, all the while it looked like Stanford was the better team, better coached, and played better team ball, but Cal got still got it done. That changes a few things for everyone. Stanford now has to get help to win the conference and get the number one seed in the Pac12 tourney. Cal remains in the hunt for one of the top four seeds as well. Truthfully, there is very little difference in the Pac 12 this year between Ariz St, Utah, OSU, Cal, and Stanford.....and UCLA and Arizona are pretty good as well. oregon is in the drivers seat, but, like the Beavs, they are facing their most difficult stretch of the season these next 6 games. For that matter, the final 10 games only have a couple that are against the bottom teams in the conference.

Utah game now on P12 rather than just OSU stream If Utah somehow manages to upset swoosh and OSU beats CU, Beavs would be playing Utah for a share of first place.

I think I'll wait and see how the Ducks do against Utah, Stanford, Cal, and, most importantly, us, before I concede the conference title to them.

On the Oregon Ducks athletic website there is a preview of their game tonight against Utah. In it they claim the Oregon women's BB team has the second toughest remaining schedule (in the Nation?) based on the total win-loss record of their remaining opponents (149-49, which is wrong...it is actually 143-54, and OSU's opponents are 147-50). In any event, it still suggests to me that OSU probably has one of toughest remaining schedules in the Nation, if not the toughest, based on the criteria of remaining opponents win-loss record. YIKES!!

Okay, what happened with the Utes down the road? It was a close game after three quarters, then an implosion.

Up 7 spots in the RPI to #31, almost catching Utah who just lost twice, lol. Meanwhile, Rutgers drops to a very average Minnesota team and drops 2 slots from #14 to #16. South Carolina moves up 2 spots to #14 after getting by Kentucky and Arkansas.
I just don't get the maths - maybe SC gets a lot of credit for losing to some good teams. In any case, we play #5 and #26, so I'd expect some significant upward movement even with losses, but who knows.
