But is this even Tennis? A couple of days ago in a ranked match you had a 6'10 guy playing a 7' guy. 140 mph serves. Average "rally" is two shots. Who wants to watch that? It seems like the players and the equipment have outgrown that sport. Almost the way the NFL has outgrown the size of the field.

I heard it suggested a LONG time ago that pro tennis players ought to be required to use wood tennis racquets the same way pro baseball players use wood bats to avoid this kind of thing. Leave the high tech equipment to the amateurs.
I have no idea how pro tennis player or big tennis fans feel about that idea.

I've thought they should at least have a tournament with wood rackets only.

Don’t be so high strung! Men’s tennis has always been a racket. It’s not your fault you feel this way!

Not sure what conclusions you can draw from it. Isner is ranked 10th and Opelka 97th.

Back in the days of wood racquets, they didn't have these 110in 2 sized heads. In the early 1980s, I remember using my brother's old Wilson T-2000 in the era where the oversized Prince racquets were taking over the world. I guess the original regulation size of a tennis racquet was 65in 2.

You probably want to go back to the old, small persimmon drivers as well.
Edit: And, steel shafts, too.

I still have one packed away somewhere. the T2000 really does make an excellent fly swatter. Those suckers never feel it coming.
