Per WSU, "We have established a long standing tradition of 'Couging it' If the uo wants to blow a nine point lead with 51 seconds left and lose in overtime, we demand our just compensation for infringing on our tradition"
Biggest choke job in the history of the Pac. and number 6 biggest choke of ALL TIME!
I can't believe that's only 6th. Need someone smarter than me to track down the list...

No worries Phil, Espn preseason poll has your dux flying high:
11. Oregon Ducks: The talent level in Eugene this season is on another level -- despite losing three starters. Payton Pritchard is an All-Pac-12-caliber player returning at point guard, but everyone is excited about the freshmen, specifically five-star Bol Bol and high-scoring blue-chip wing Louis King. Throw in a potential breakout performer in Kenny Wooten, and Dana Altman has all the pieces.

That’s funny right there.

I remember watching this with my frat buddies. I don't think I've seen it since. Lots of memories. Todd freakin' Thomas with the final assist! Eric Knox now at Benson coaching the girls, and Payton a man among boys. Like they could throw the 3/4 court pass over his head ... That's awesome.

Wow, I remember that game too, but I sure don't remember:
- How atrocious the camera/editing work was - How ugly OSU's shooting form was (Sherwood looks like he doesn't fully extend his shooting arm, and GP looks like he shoots with both hands) - How poorly the 3 was regularly guarded (particularly by hole) - GP dribbled straight to the top of the key unguarded). - How Miller teams too played without purpose at times (what in the world was GP playing catch 40' from the basked with 15s to go?? Nothing they did should have gotten anything of a decent look.
Never mind that most of the guys have bodies that look like they are 40 years old - what's that about?
That really hit home how much the game has changed - I guess I don't watch enough historical basketball.

I vaugely remember Hec Ed in this era. I was top row. Probably last ticket sold and i'm catching a little heat as Beavs are down 5ish with <10 sec left. Payton shoots a couple and gets a steal and Beavs beat Marv harshman .....again
edit: wasn't GP. It must have been Lester the Molester. Because GP graduated in 1990....duh

That really hit home how much the game has changed - I guess I don't watch enough historical basketball. The players are stronger and faster now for sure and the defenses have improved. That's why we pine for the old days of hook shots and running 1 handers. Though Payton was certainly the new style of athlete, maybe the transition is right here before our eyes. I'm not one to usually look this closely at video, but jeez, 0:16 steal by Payton 1:27, foul, though look how fast he got on the ball 2:04 he is so much faster bringing the ball up the court than everyone else 3:08 fast again, pass, runs to the basket, gets pushed in the back, still elevates and tips it in. "What a play!" 3:30 No slouch Anthony Taylor dunks "Icing on the cake" 3:35 Payton responds with a 3 ptr, "Really something". 4:40 So fast to the ball again 7:00 steal to ice it. I think if my memory (and Google) is correct, he was just a freshman here. He wasn't considered an outside shooter until his senior year (and when he started putting up 50 pts a game)

I think that would have been without a shot clock. There was a shot clock, but it was a 45-second shot clock.
