Sounds like a well planned heist, not. Can't leave the country and live on a nice Tahitian island resort for too long with the contents of a partially emptied cash machine.

Sounds like a well planned heist, not. Can't leave the country and live on a nice Tahitian island resort for too long with the contents of a partially emptied cash machine. right? they go to the trouble of stealing a caterpillar they could transport and unload in mexico for $150k and they go use it to make a big mess for a few thousand bucks. Nobody said criminals make good choices. |

Nobody said criminals make good choices. I was shocked to learn how much money was actually in the machine. You would be too. Suffice to say, it was the more safe and efficient choice than trying to hustle a loader 1,100 miles and try to cross the border. By the way, it was someone who knew how to run a piece of equipment. After scaling a fence and negotiating 3 rows of barbed wire they turned on the battery disconnect switch, unhooked the bucket, put it neatly in line with the others, and attached a set of forks! |

I can't say, but I can say that even though they did the wrong thing, they made a smart choice by ditching the loader and taking the cash-o-la. |
