He was awesome. Did you see we got a Darrell Aune reference in there as well? I was wondering if Darrell was still alive - my all time favorite OSU broadcaster by a country mile.

I grew up watching Doug LaMear (and Jack Cappell) on KGW - given the state of sports broadcasting these days, we need more people like him again in the business. He was missed when he retired, will be missed by all who valued his abilities and presence.

Didn't Doug LaMear do the Dee Andros coaches show that was broadcast on Oregon Public Broadcasting in the late 60's/early 70's? A hazy memory from my grade school days. |
