The talent in this game is on a whole other level. Pretty incredible athletes all over the field.

A lot of writers, like the clown who wrote the article you linked, are gonna look stupid after this. Full house, enthusiastic crowd, turf is holding up just fine, no rain, reasonable ticket prices on the secondary market and a great game.

Who made plays and who did not was the difference tonight. Despite a great running game and owning the time of possession big time, Alabama could not make the Big Play as much as the Big Gaffe. Add in a very stout Clemson D just to up the difficulty factor. Even if that frosh QB for the Tigers was just half as good as he appears to be, they still would have won tonight.
On the other side, Clemson was on a heater. Lots of big plays. Several breaks on officiating. They magnified their luck factor and went bonkers on Saban's bunch like no other team has since St. Nick made it to Tuscaloosa.
The announcers made a point about how Alabama has needed to replace so many assistant coaches due to them stepping up while Clemson only had three changes in the last few years. It takes a great staff to really get the best out of the multi-star studs. Right now it is advantage Tigers. Come back in two years and what else will change?
At least we saw the college football equivalent of Lakers-Celtics take place. How often does that happen four times in the last four years with three of the meetings being for the title? Clemson took the lead 2-1 in that department so they can go down as the best team overall for the last four years instead of the Tide due to their 44-16 win. Imagine that, we have a very rare event, a Dual Dynasty. Between the two teams, each had to rally in the 4th one time this season (Alabama-Georgia, Clemson-Syracuse) and that was as close as anyone else came to these two powerhouses this season.
Now we wait to see Fansville next season...
