Minus Willits, no one looked very good. Dhesi didn't look ready at all! Bresser looked sluggish! Not impressed!

Really poor showing. Once again Michigan gave a first class clinic to the team. They are just on another level. Zalesky has to really look at recruiting right now because to be good and competitive again we need to have more than half our rosters ranked, even at the lower ends. A lot of the players on the team just look like walk ons right now. And then when our top gun shows up, he didn't. Idk what was going on with Dhesi, he had no business losing to someone wrestling their first ever dual.

Michigan took it easy on us. They didn't put out 2 and maybe 3 of their starters. Their 125 is #12 ranked, 157 Panteleo has been in the 5-6-7 range all season. Then I think 184. They pulled the RS off of their 285. A kid with high accolades, but he just out worked and wrestled Dhesi.
I don't know what shocked me most, that loss or watching Terry get pinned by a guy he had no reason to get pinned by. We have work to do at every weight. I think we have a legit shot at 3 of the remaining duals: CCC, Poly, Cal Baptist, but we aren't ready for the rest of the competition.

I expected a pretty one sided dual, but man, what a cluster. Bresser looked disinterested. Dhesi - I have no idea what was going on there.
Upper weights are a mess right now. Coleman wrestled up a weight yesterday and will probably need to stay there unless JaMarcus Grant can drop (he was about 215 as of a month ago). Not seeing much on the horizon other than the Willits boys. The record doesn't necessarily show it, but Grant is improving each time out...

Q&A on Intermat's Friday mailbag. Mentions the Dhesi match. He's not worried, tells Beav fans the same...
Q: Amar Dhesi lost his first match this season to true freshman Mason Parris of Michigan. Looking at Oregon State's schedule, it doesn't appear he will face any top heavyweights before the NCAAs. Since only this year's data is considered for seeding purposes, is there a chance Dhesi will be a low seed or unseeded since he won't have any notable wins? -- Mike C.
Foley: The NCAA has decided to seed all 33 wrestlers in each weight class for the 2019 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in Pittsburgh. Why? Dunno, but it's happening.
I think Amar will get more than 12 matches, win his conference and go into the NCAA tournament in the top six, dependent on how things shake out with the Big Ten heavyweights.
If I were a Beaver wrestling fan, I wouldn't be too worried about Dhesi's ability to become an All-American in 2019!
