Watching UCLA vs USC. SC led by double digits at half but Bruins flipped it in the 3Q to lead 59-49.
UCLA wins 72-65
Ucla’s Lajahna Drummer is potentially a tough matchup for OSU. The Onyenwere vs Corsdale matchup will be intriguing as well when we play them.
Certainly a lot of basketball talent on the floor when SC and UCLA play.
BTW. Harvard (7-6) beats #14 Cal (9-2) in Berkeley. 85-79.

Arizona beating Arizona State 19-13 in the 2Q. ASU is shooting terribly, and have already played 11. They’re deep. UW transfer Aarion McDonald has 13 for UA.

This is going to be an interesting conference season. Much more parity than ever before is going to lead to some "surprise" wins. I really hope we are in the positive side of some of those.

I watched a little bit of all three rivalry games today. I didn't think Utah or Colorado looked that good at first, but they played better as the game went on. Utah is going to win some games in conference this year. I'm glad we don't play them on the road this season. Arizona and Arizona St both play tough defense. Arizona will not be a 'gimmie' this year.
I'll be the first to admit that I have no idea how this Pac 12 season is going to shake out in the end. I think there are a lot of teams that are good enough to beat just about anybody else on any given night. I lean toward Stanford winning the conference because they don't have to make the trip to play the Beavs and ducks. I do go with the thoughts that Stanford and oregon are the two best teams in the conference, but I'm not really sure where everyone else stands, including the Beavs. Although I hope the Beavs are a notch better than the other teams, as many as 7 conference losses wouldn't surprise me. I would be pretty happy with matching last year's conference record.

No question that the PAC-12 is going to be a wild ride this year. I only feel comfortable stating that Cal has been very overrated in the pre-season, and, UA & UTAH will continue to surprise this year. I feel that OSU & Stanford are the best shooting teams in the PAC-12. I believe that OSU needs to play more zone defense than in the past years, until it is demonstrated that we have a 5 that can contain some of the very good BIGs in the PAC-12.

Don't know how it could be demonstrated that we have a 5 who can contain the conference's premier post players, as no such person is to be found on our active roster.

If you don't know the answer, I can see why life is full of surprises for you.

If you don't know the answer, I can see why life is full of surprises for you. Absolutely! It's the beautiful thing about sports. And it's the reason I never bet on sporting events. If sports didn't have surprising outcomes and performances there would be no reason to watch. Who expected Steve Alford to be out of a job in December? Who expected OSU to beat CU when we were down 31-3?

One thing now is that both Oregon and Stanford have two very, very good wins. Stanford beat Baylor pretty handily who just beat UConn. Baylor is not a team I would like to see in the postseason. I was worried about seeing them last year, but obviously Marie was tremendous in that game and the clear difference maker. While Jo has been playing well, exceeding any of our expectations, at least mine, she would likely get eaten alive by Brown, and I don’t think MW or JT gave the size. They essentially employ a 3 bigs lineup with 6-2 NaLyssa Smith who is a freshman and then the 6-4 Cox and 6-7 Brown. I think Kennedy Brown is a little similar to Cox.
Oregon has a really good win over Mississippi State, but Mississippi State didn’t impress me a whole lot in that specific game.
