anyone with strong opinions on Bol Bol (besides the under the table money someone is paying him to do a year in 'Gene) ?
Watched him tonight a little. He seems to be awkward out there. Not great feet and the offense tends to stand around when he is out there. Of course he doesn't need to move far to use his 7'5 wingspan but organ looked a little... limited with him out there. He does shoot the three ball that no one can block but as far as him dominating college basketball this year...i don't think so.
Here's to lots of frustration for coach dueling banjos.

I've only seen portions of a couple of games, but I've been pretty impressed. Seemed to have good basketball instincts and can shoot. As for dominating college basketball, not sure who said he would. Ayton was first pick in draft and I wouldn't say he dominated college basketball last year.
I think Bol is good and will at times dominate stretches of games.

I have only seen portions of two games. That limited view showed me that he is athletic for his size, however, his early play at the PAC 12 is not consistently 'outstanding'. The first game I watched, he had a bad ankle ( so there is that ), and he looked very unimpressive. He was slow and probably should not have been on the court. However, the next game ( 1 or 2 days later ), he had totally recovered and looked like he could ( at times ), dominate a weak opponent. i am not so sure that he has the strength or ability to match up against even an average 'big', with a better than average supporting cast. Why ? He can jump, he has good hands, he can dribble, pass and shoot. He can't dominate on either the offensive or defensive boards. So, the whole team suffers when he is on the floor. Based on what I have seen so far, I believe that the sucks will have a tough time beating the top two or three teams in the Conference and, on any given night, I even think the Beavers will be a mismatch problem. I was hoping for a 'one and done, combined with some jail time for Dana ' banjo boy' for the payoffs. No not the playoffs, THE PAYOFFS !

The strength issue is a concern, however there are not a lot of what you call "average" or better big men in the Pac-12. Unlike his dad, he can actually run the floor, handle the ball a little bit, and he is a very good FT shooter. Green Bay actually came back last night on the ucks when they went away from him. He had a 6'7" guy on him and he scored once, got 2 FT's the next time and then they stopped throwing the ball into him. He could have dominated more last night if they would have fed him the ball more. He has some decent post moves and good feet for someone of his size.
He is going to be very good this year. The strength question will be the concern for him next year in the NBA.

heard JC today ( i know, he's a bad man) talking about the one n done's in stinkgene this year and how son-of-a-preacherman can't coach them.
I think there's something to that but also they tend to lose early in shocking ways and then play better later.
Maybe phil can make it rain with hundred dollar bills to get their attention.

How dare you disparage Dusty Springfield in that manner!
