Underrated and OverratedWell, we contacted 235 Division 1 programs to ask them nine questions about the upcoming season under the condition of complete anonymity. Who is the most overrated coach in the country? Most underrated? What about the players? What job is the best? The worst? We asked all of this and more and have compiled the responses.

The article is interesting to read, but the data, as reported, is flawed..
As Werebeaver points out: How many of the 235 coaches actually responded to this survey? 10, 20, 200?
How were the coaches contacted? By personal letter (or email)? Or by a generic ad in some coach's magazine?
Were the coaches given prompts: "Of the following......rank the top five....
On another note: Rueck underrated? By who? Certainly no one in western USA...Certainly not in the Pac.....Certainly not by Baylor or Tennessee.
A better lead would be: Most underrated by the most undereducated....
Again, a fun read but sophomoric data.......

The head coach? Some GA on the staff? The SID? The golf coach? BTW there are 351 wbb div 1 programs. Why did they not try and contact 116 programs? |
