I know it was announced a week or so ago that his cancer had resurfaced, but it really does seem sudden.
The world lost a giant in his passing.

harrumph, generally considered a decent guy, didn't hoard his wealth, tried to keep an open mind despite the enormity of his fate.
Now down to business, how badly does Vulcan start trying to screw city of portland on the arena deal, ticket prices etc?
Paul Allen was generally considered to be reigning those people in to some degree.

I don't know lets think of some ways taxes? renovation surcharge? where there's greed there's a way Paul Allen owned a large chunk of Ticketmaster, you want to talk about one of the biggest ripoffs to consumers in history, there is that.

makes sense
They could raise ticket prices, but they are already dropping in attendance, so good luck with that. They need the Blazers to get past the first round of the playoffs for that to happen.

y'all should speak kinder words on a thread wishing Mr Allen to Rest in Peace. True, prayers for him and his family.

Incorrect. The team is leasing the building. Read here portlandtribune.com/pt/9-news/410020-308958-allens-death-muddles-rose-quarters-future-And yes the Paul Allen death means negotiations with the city will become much more contentious now.

That article is not correct. They lease the coliseum and the ground under the Moda Center. They own the Moda Center building. The city owns the coliseum building. Their ground lease is what expires in 2025
