The OSU sports marketing department continues to report and promote that season tickets sales for women's basketball have set a new record for the upcoming season. However, I haven't seen any official figures reported as to what that new season ticket sales record is.
The Beavs ranked #1 in the PAC-12 and #16 nationally in home attendance during the '17-'18 season with an average of 4,979 per game. This should be the program's first season with an average in excess of 5k per game.

beavershoopsfan - Excited for us to cross the 5000 mark on average attendance this year, and love our social media savvy at staying in the spotlight (especially between here and November signing while no games are happening), but according to the OSU WBB Media Guide (p. 69). the Beavers averaged 5258 / game during the 1995-1996 season. Likely many were there to admire Tanja Kostic's game (not a bad pasttime according to those following WBB at the time), but just wanted to point that out. Note that for this regime, >5000 would be an achievement, and likely push us up the national attendance rankings to even more lofty heights. Go Beavers!

The record 5,258 average attendance per game achieved in '95-'96 may be in jeopardy for the '18-'19 season. I just did some research on Kostic to educate myself on what kind of player she was for the Beavs. Kostic, a two-time PAC-10 Player of the Year, amassed 2,349 points and 1,001 rebounds during her OSU careeer. I can understand why so many fans came to see Kostic and her teammates play two decades ago. It may be time to retire Kostic's former #10 jersey after Katie McWilliams graduates this season. democratherald.com/gallery/oregon-state-women-s-basketball-all-time-team/collection_719dec51-51c2-56b8-8c48-881f45366bf9.html#4

Anybody out there with inside info as to how many season tickets the OSU women's basketball program has sold thus far for the '18-'19 season? I have read that there is a new record, but every posting that I have seen has not listed what that new record total is.
