And at least one uncommitted recruit is on campus as we speak. Very highly ranked (as in Top 4 of ESPN rankings for a given class). If I see something posted on her Twitter or on another website about her visit to Corvallis, I will post the link in this forum. The OSU coaching staff is working hard to be able to continue to reload every year..... The OSU WBB story is an easier one to sell these days.

Thanks for the heads-up bhf.. Doesn't take a lot of calculating to figure out who this prospect probably is... But, who knows? Maybe it will be someone who totally surprises us !!

It is likely not who you think it may be. To my knowledge, this recruit hasn't been to an OSU basketball camp in her past and hails from the Midwest. I had not seen her name linked to Oregon State in any way in the past. So, this recruitment is one that clearly has been kept under the radar by the coaching staff and the recruit herself. Very good to know that there is likely much going on below the surface for OSU as us fans continue to hope to hear about additional Class of 2019 (and perhaps from the Class of 2020) verbal commitments from elite talent.

I think I know who it is. I also know who it isn't: Paige Bueckers of Hailey Van Lith as both are competing in 3x3 in Buenos Aires. I'm going to guess PG Caitlin Clark. She was a former #1 and likely would have made USA U17 but broke her wrist. Has been called a younger version of Ionescu and I think is also considering UO as far as I know. I think our coaches follow her on twitter. She is also very religious.

I actually see a little bit of Syd in her. A tall point guard who can both score in multiple ways as well as distribute. Both aren’t the most athletic, but have a ton of skill and can hit the 3 consistently. Clark would be tremendous for this program as would Van Lith and Bueckers! Hopefully we can strike on one. I like our chances too. They would have a great shot at coming in and running the show for three years after Destiny.

A good number of schools already have 2020 commits. I'd love to see the Beavs land an early commit, and it would be very good for persuading other players to take notice. 2020 still looks like it has a shot at being the Beavers best recruiting year ever, which makes it fine with me if Taylor is our only recruit this for 2019.

I think we can already name about 6 or so 2020 recruits that we are after. The make up of the class may depend on whether or not we add Kennedy Brown. A point guard is probably the biggest necessity and I think we’re going to get a good one!

Looked over her twitter and she has liked quite a few of Coach KT(B)F’s tweets. Definitely a strong relationship between Clark and the staff. I’d assume were also in a tight battle with ND and tsdtr for her. Haven’t seen any pics or anything though. Wonder if she will visit tsdtr too.

beaverwbb fan said--> " Wonder if she will visit tsdtr too." I would put money on it. Found this article on line that will give you some info on what she is looking for. the article was posted in July. www.amestrib.com/sports/20180728/attack-point-guard-coveted-by-entire-nation---including-isu On another note. We are all anxious to hear where Kennedy Brown is going to play her college ball. Hope she chooses the Beavers. One thing that concerns me though is that Kennedys mother Danika posted a couple tweets that were all about Oregon and I think Danika likes Oregon. These were posted the weekend Kennedy was visiting the smucks. I hope Kennedy decides for herself what would be the best coach for her and not be influenced by her mother. Just keep this in the back of your mind when she makes her decision and don't be totally surprised if she chooses the smucks.

Personally I think Van Lith is a better fit for OSU. Clark is more offensively oriented, while Van Lith is a defensive nut case. Clark does the standard going for the steals and VL doesn't want to allow you to score (period, end of sentence). But they are both amazing players who would be great fun to watch and I'd be willing to cheer on either one (wildly and with great enthusiasm).

Between the two I have to go with HVL. She is the Gary Payton of wbb.

I third that statement. HVL is as tough as they come. She would fit right in with the OSU. Learning from Destiny for one year would do her wonders as they are very similar. Size, build, skillset, etc. Clark is no doubt a great player. It’s also exciting that we can bring a top-4 prospect to Corvallis on her family’s own buck. We are certainly beginning to expand our recruiting outside the PNW and west coast in general.
2018: New Jersey and Australia 2019: Texas (and a top 4 for Kansas) 2020: Iowa, Arkansas, and Minnesota
Definitely a nationally recognized program!

AND she has all her hair, and as we can see in TheGlove's pic, you gotta be bald if you want to be the best!
