OLive ArticleBy Nick Daschel | The Oregonian/OregonLive CORVALLIS – High expectations cannot be escaped these days with Oregon State women’s basketball. The Beavers are on a five-year NCAA tournament run, making the Sweet 16 the past three years. There’s a Final Four and a couple Elite Eights mixed in. So when talk of incredible expectations comes up to OSU coach Scott Rueck, he doesn’t sidestep the discussion. More like, bring it on. “I’m comfortable when they’re high. I welcome it. You want to aspire to something,” Rueck said. “It’s a good burden.”

Interesting comment on Jo: "She has great hands at 6-8. Runs the floor well, so she has a great opportunity this year.” Sounds like she had quite the off-season.

That was a fun read. Thanks for posting. Reading this really gets me excited about the coming season.
As for Jo and the great hands, I remember reading SR's comments about her coming out of junior college, and he mentioned about her having good hands. Yes, she had some problems last year, but I think her hands may actually be a little better than we give her credit for. I'm not sure she will see much playing time this year though. Too much competition, and too many good smaller players which may lead to this team going small at times.
My favorite comment out of all those comments was regarding Trish Morris....."Not a lot of people know about Trish, but that’s going to change real soon". I love it! Scott seems to have a lot of faith in the player Trish is going to be. Bring it on. I can't wait!

And I think I felt something when I saw that picture of Tudor all smooshie-faced with her face pressed against Cohen's left breast, too.

I read that list and think that it is going to be difficult for all but a few teams in the nation to match up with us, particularly in the 6-9 part of the bench, let alone our starting 5. That list is just chock full of people that other teams wished they had in their starting rotation.

lotrader - -you may be right, but thickhead's site worked perfect for me....At any rate, I appreciate it when someone posts these events because I rarely search them out on my own... Side note: if things go as expected this season the Feb. 18 game with the Ducks might be OSU WBB 2nd sellout in school history.....

What a great representative for the Beavers. Not only an excellent basketball player but an exceptional person. We are lucky to have players like her.
