** Note: This list was edited and revised on 10-1-2018. One name was corrected and EPBeaver's addition of Micah McDowell was added.
In November the thirteen member class of 2019 will sign their LOI's and officially join the OSU baseball program. With 6 weeks to go, it appears it will project something like this but although addition or subtraction is still possible, it is unlikely.
Will Fritsch RHP Jack Washburn RHP Ryan Brown RHP Kai Murphy LHP Drew Gilbert LHP Cooper Hjerpe LHP
Ben Steck C Justin Boyd IF Kyle Dernedde IF
J.D. McLaughlin OF Cesar Valero OF/IF Wyatt Young OF
Micah McDowell OF
Are we missing anyone?

There is another name. Back in June, Micah McDowell announced his commitment to play at OSU. He is a SS/OF from Alberta, Canada with the Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Academy. This is the same program as Cesar Valero.

Thank you for contributing, that's a good catch.
The Okotoks Dawgs play in the Western Major Baseball League - East Division. Darius Foster played there in 2017 prior to enrolling at OSU. I believe Mike Gretler and other Beavs have played there during the recent summers. The team is managed and coached by former OSU players, Tyler Graham and Andy Peterson. There is a close working relationship between OSU baseball and the Dawgs.

Rumor has it that Cole Hamilton, Linn Benton sophomore catcher has committed for 2019. He is a 2016 kid from North Salem that originally signed with Western Oregon but was never on their roster; played at LB last year, drafted in the 23rd round but didn't sign.

Ryan has been committed for a year. Think he's walking on since he was not listed or profiled by OSU's official announcement of the 2019 class last November. He's joining 4 other walk-ons I listed above with the class.

"The Beavers will add 5 walk-on candidates to the class of 2019
3B-C Garrett Forrester from the Sacramento area's Bella Vista HS. Forrester has a 5'11, 185 pound compact frame that is a natural fit at the hot corner. Good glove and a + arm that hits with power from the right side. Scouts like his tenacious hitting approach and good foot speed. Younger brother Brandon is committed to OSU in the 2022 class. Beau Philip started his HS career in the strong Bella Vista program before transferring to Fair Oaks - Oak Ridge HS.
OF Wyatt Young from the Kincaide School in Houston, Texas. Young is a 6', 185 pounder that bats R and throws R.
RHP Ryan Brown from South Salem HS. Brown is 6'3 and 200 - one of the best pitchers in Oregon's 2019 group.
RHP A.J. Lattery from Savage, MN. and Prior Lake HS. Also plays 1B, he's 6-5 and 230.
OF Max Sampson from Seattle's O'Dea HS is 5-11, 185 and is a L-L guy. "

"Recruiting classes are fluid" - I would agree, nothing is ever cast in stone.
Ryan Brown, Oregon's best pitcher in this years class, was drafted by the Yankees but chose not to sign and fulfill his lifelong dream to pitch for the Beavers. This past Monday OSU baseball did an honorable and admirable thing - they offered Ryan a scholarship. He's no longer walking on, he has a ride.
Ryan becomes the 13th scholarship player in this class. He also becomes the 3rd homegrown player in the class joining Kyle Dernedde and Jacob Melton.

Have to wait to see how many juniors sign. Hopefully this isn't a sign that Eisert has signed, freeing up some money.

Good point, schollys are always in short supply in baseball because they are parceled out. An Eisert signing would free up some $$$. Ryan has been awfully good on the mound and at bat during his Saxon career - you don't often find players of that caliber walking on somewhere.
