She is so humble! Excited to watch her She definitely interviews like a beaver. One of the things I like most about the Beavers is how they always defer credit to their teammates. They are unselfish on and off the court.

She is so humble! Excited to watch her She's not always the sweet, smiling kid that she appears to be in this interview. She wears a different face and has a different demeanor on the court, where she is always in attack mode. She doesn't even look like the same person. Simmons in 3x3 Hustle

I like that JS likes to play defense. That impresses me. You don't see the floor on Rueck's team if you aren't willing to learn to play & improve on defense. On the "Beaver Tour" this summer, Rueck told the Beaver audience that none of the incoming freshman know how to play defense. If JS knows defense, she will see the floor a fair bit.

She may like to play defense and may even know how to play defense, just not beaver defense as taught by Rueck and company.
All three freshmen are intelligent, athletic, and motivated so I would hope that they make giant strides on their defense abilities.
