6-4 Forward out of Auburn, Washington Dalayah Daniels recently stated in an ESPN article her five favorites at the moment are Oregon State, Oregon, Stanford, Connecticut, and Texas according to an ESPN feature. She is rated #16 in the 2020 class by Hoopgurlz.
I really think this 2020 class will be a special one!
Rueck and his staff, especially KTB are tremendous recruiters!

I have seen Dalayah Daniels play on television. Now a rising junior at Garfield High School in Seattle, Daniels is an intriguing prospect based upon how mobile she is for a 6'4" female athlete. She is currently listed by ESPNW as the #16-ranked player in the Class of 2020. www.espn.com/espnw/sports/article/24256052/washington-high-school-standout-dalayah-daniels-becomes-force-basketball-courtwww.espn.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/rankings/_/class/2020A rising junior at Garfield (Seattle), Daniels is the No. 16 player in the espnW HoopGurlz Terrific 25 for the 2020 class. Last season, she averaged 14.3 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.7 blocks, 2.6 steals and 1.8 assists for a 23-8 team. Daniels has drawn more than 30 scholarship offers, including every school in the Pac-12. But, at the moment, she lists her five favorites as Texas, Connecticut, Stanford, Oregon and Oregon State, in no particular order.

Seattle basketball...a kid from Auburn goes to school at Garfield?

I really hope our strong Washington pipeline can prove true for the 2020 class too. She is most likely familiar with Taya as they both play for the same AAU organization. I think our chances of her or Brink will depend a lot on the decision of Kennedy Brown. For all the height we will have, each player is very, very unique. Taya is a stretch 4, Morris seems to be a true center, not exactly sure where to classify Aquino (Face-up 5?), and Jones is a finesse 5. Brown would be a stretch 4. Brink and Daniels are both 4s

Seattle basketball...a kid from Auburn goes to school at Garfield? That article states that Daniels lives with her brother and father in Seattle, the home of Garfield HS. It is Daniels' mother who lives in Auburn. Out-of-school-boundary transfers and variance requests are far more rampant on the boys' side of high school basketball, although it certainly does take place these days on the girls' side as well. "Daniels, who lives with her brother and dad, Dale Sr., in Seattle while her mom, Deborah Nagle, lives with her husband and two of her daughters in nearby Auburn, Washington, said she has taken lessons from the men and women in her life."

Got it. I didn't read the article, thanks for clarifying.

I have been following WBB for about 8 years only.... So for those of you who go back further I have a question. Has there EVER been as much top flight girl H.S. Basketball talent in the Northwest as will be graduating in 2020? Brink, Van Lith, Daniels all Top 10 or Top 20..... That's a lot of talent....

Oregon City had a few teams that were very dominate. After a couple great years with a lack of respect given to them, IIRC they went out and beat the top five (maybe four, everyone ranked ahead of them) on the road on their home courts. They had an amazing run.

Another question would be, have the Beavers ever been in on so many top flight girls? I just did a quick look at Prospect Nations 2020 top 14, and the Beavers are in the mix for at least 7 of them, and probably more. Could be a special recruiting class if things fall into place.

At first I was skeptical of a Stanford offer - -but she carries a 3.87 GPA - that's pretty darn impressive... Her Dad's a local Garfield legend, of sorts, but it looks to me (even from my distance) that he will be smack in the middle of her recruiting process. He just doesn't seem like a hands-off kinda guy...
Lot's of interesting goings on in the basketball world - love it when the Beavs are in the thick of it.. With all of this talent looking at the Oregon schools the Civil War is going to keep on being a big time event for years to come. Interestingly, almost all of the Elite Prospects who are looking at the Beavs are also looking at the Ducks..Go figure.
Coach Baker should be back from her European talent search. Hopefully, that will bring another fascinating recruit story or two...
GO BEAVS !!

Brink and Daniels are both 4s I agree with your assessment of players here. And, if Brown commits to OSU, I think it becomes even more of a long shot to get Brink (or Daniels or any other high level 4-5 position player) in 2020. The biggest need in 2020 will be a point guard IMO, regardless of any of these young women committing or not.
