Could transfer and play next year. I don't know if he's the answer to replace our departing PF but the young man moves real well and crashes the boards.

Ahhhhhh... we'll take him. A 6'10" active kid... 15.7/8.1.. 3 A/ 2 blocks/ 1 steal... in 25 min... 54% FG%/33% 3pt% on a 24-8 team... if he is academically sound and not an Ahole... sign him up today! With the other two bigs coming in a 2-year guy is perfect fit.
2/28/16: Tyler Rawson was named the tournament (Region 18) MVP... 22/10 in championship game vs. a now 31-1/15-0 Northern Idaho. Rawson posted an overall 47 points and 25 rebounds over the three games the Bruins played. He posted a double-double in two of the games he was featured in, including a game-high 22 points against North Idaho and a game-high 15 rebounds against Southern Idaho.

Unless he's a late bloomer (which he may very well be), I'm not so sure. His freshman year at SUU wasn't anything to write home about, on a weak 9-20 team.
## SUMMARY GP-GS Min FG% 3PT% FT% R/G A/G STL BLK PTS/G 21 RAWSON, Tyler....... 29-2 17.1 .481 .324 .676 4.1 0.8 13 35 7.4
We need a Cameron Oliver type, whose freshman stats at Nevada, show below (against better competition):
SEASON AVERAGES SEASON TEAM MIN FGM-FGA FG% 3PM-3PA 3P% FTM-FTA FT% REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS 2015-16 NEV 27.6 4.7-9.6 .487 0.4-1.1 .355 1.9-3.1 .621 8.8 0.8 2.4 0.6 3.3 1.7 11.7

Add him with Kone and Dew plus Drew we're way more talented inside... If we can get better than Tyler, GREAT... but he was here on an invite so someone likes him.

You can't make that statement because you're assuming that his success at D-43 basketball will be mirrored in D-1. And, just because Gary Payton thrived in an environment of lesser competition doesn't mean that this guy will. Your logical discontinuities are astounding.

Actually it's you that discounted the league he was from. I provided a counter example that proved your supposition incorrect with one of our very own. You discount the chance of his success coming from a league/level that regularly sends kids to D1 hoops with success. GPII is just one example. So actually your "shoe" fits you snugly! LOL !Hint... try not to get in to a battle of wits when you begin the nonsensical argument and in doing so runs you out of "ammo"! !!PS- Dude it is very apparent you do like my posts (you do not know me so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt you're not an "anonymously judgmental" jerk). It has become a regular practice to search out my posts and try to incite with some typically argumentative comment or just plain "duh" (very fitting I might add) So post as you will, but really, you do get it truly does reflect poorly on you? Right?

I hope he signs. Yes, his stats aren't what some of us want them to be, but we definitely could use another big man upfront - especially if Kone is out for the year or his progress is slowed down. I could see another big man in practice also helping Eubanks develop.

I'm not so confident in baseba1111's assessment, but if WT wants him, I'm all in! Actually, baseba1111 isn't usually so easily impressed, so I guess that's another reason to hope the kid signs Anybody have the back story as to why he transferred out of SUU? His stats on a per minute basis were pretty solid, so I'm wondering if he was frustrated with his PT and didn't click with the staff there. Regardless, really glad WT is trying to find answers here.

Right? I don't seek out your posts -- I don't have to. They are everywhere. And I guess I respond negatively to your tendency to (1) think you know everything; (2) portray yourself as "in the know," as if you have "special" access that the rest of us don't; (3) to post your opinion, melt down when others disagree, and act like you're being personally attacked [much like what you posted above]; and (4) strike out emotionally when someone obliterates your post. If you simply acknowledged they had a good point or walked back on yours, I wouldn't feel the urge to stomp you into China. There are a lot of posters here that know something -- more than you -- or are better connected [some work in the AD], so much so that I feel humbled when I read their posts. Maybe if you asked them questions you'd come off as less annoying.
This is my attempt to make peace and explain to you [and others] why I tweak your nose from time-to-time.

It seems you have issues tossing in your personal emotions to my (and others??) black and white/electronic communication. Your "peace" is filled with "reasons"/excuses, so it lands far from the stated purpose. So my posts are everywhere... and you SEEK/chose to respond... I type my thoughts. I've never have implied or stated I know everything or more than other posters or have any special access (although I do socialize with peeps in certain departments)... nor do I "melt down" or "strike out emotionally" (although I love sarcasm and innuendo!!)... ALL of those statements are your interpretations of what you read and "add" of your own volition, AND are not actually fact. Feel free to have your opinion of me, but, you tend to confuse your opinions as fact... WOW... exactly what you accuse me of, so you know of what you speak!? LOL And, you are far from "tweaking" me or many others on here... your post are amusing sidelights as they seldom have anything to do with OSU athletics. Hence, it is a reasonable question to ask, "why do you come here, if not to just try and demean?" Ok... Back to Beaver Sports... and hoping Tyler signs

They won the friggin JC national championship, so I'd say what he did had PLENTY of relevance. In the championship game he had 16pts and 11 boards. I've gone to 100's of region 18 games dating back to the late 70's (mostly in Ontario watching TVCC play) and I assure all of you, its one of the top 3 JC regions every year. Its pretty rare that a player who plays great there ends up being a poor D-1 player.
