CC been up in the room this week working out, saw him doing some glove work with his coach. He's got a big fight on Dec 12 @ UFC 194. Will be a lot of eyes tuned in to that one due to the main event (Aldo vs McGregor), will be a great opportunity for him! He's about ready to break through and become a household name on the UFC front. GO BEAVS!!

He was a stud at 174 for us in 2010 and 2011. Two time PAC-12 champ and finished 5th at the NCAA's in 2011, earning All American status. Went on to do MMA, and has been quite good, compiling an 8-0 record so far. |

and even better, a native Oregonian. Came out of Thurston HS, at Thurston he wrestled for another ex-Beav Mike Simons. Think of it as Conforto being in the Big Show. that's the case w/Covington.  |

yes yes.. I was thinking more in terms of MLB/World Series vs UFC show in Vegas. But yeah D-Bar would be a better compare from the local kid standpoint. Good call.
We've got another Eugene kid coming in next season from Churchill. I really like taking these wrestlers from competitive cheer country.
