From Kendall Rogers, D1Baseball.com Tweet: "COACHING NEWS: Some huge news for @beaverbaseball. Hearing the #Beavs will make pitching coach Nate Yeskie one of the highest paid assistants in college baseball, overcoming overtures from @hailstatebb. That’s big news for Casey and the Beavs to keep it rolling. #Pac12"

Other comments from Kendall Rogers: "It’s been a big week for @beaverbaseball.
1) Pat Casey is going nowhere. There were rumors over the weekend that Casey might call it a career.
2) OSU keeps Yeskie and he welcomes back a ridiculously good pitching staff."

And more: "Two more thoughts on the Yeskie decision:
1) This won’t be the last time OSU will have to fend off suitors with big pocket books. In this instance, OSU stepped up.
2) By stepping up in this fashion, I should shocked if Yeskie isn’t Pat Casey’s successor someday."

It's well deserved - congrats to Nate and to the Beavers on keeping the most important part of their team together for another year!

It's well deserved - congrats to Nate and to the Beavers on keeping the most important part of their team together for another year! Hope there is now a major effort to Build Goss Out. Add more seats than is enough to get new fans in for a late season friday night tilt with a conference challenger. Build a fan base when it's easy.

FYI, Kendall Rogers says OSU more than doubled Yeskie's salary. Mississippi State I guess threw a lot of money at him to be pitching coach and I'm sure Nate used that as leverage. Good for him! And, good for OSU to step up!

And, good for OSU to step up! According to the salary database for public employees, Yeskie made $120,000 as of March 9th of this year. So he is making more than $240,000 . Base pay anyways. Doesn't include any incentive money.

Yeskie...coach in waiting?
