I thought there used to be one at the top of the page. Maybe it was only on the football page.

With the growing number of Beavers in the league it's hard to keep track. It would be very nice to have a thread pinned to the top with a list of where everyone's at.

OSU still hasn't realized that Joey Wong has been back in the Minors since May 22. He was unsigned at the beginning of the year, so they removed him, but the Mets signed him on May 19.

It would be cool to see Wong join Conforto. Right now, though, he is doing exactly what he has been doing since 2013, ping-ponging between AA and AAA. He was playing for Vegas four weeks ago, but he is back at Binghamton now, hitting a couple of spots behind Tim Tebow, trying to stay above the Mendoza line. (His double on Friday left him with a .203 average for Binghamton on the year.) He hit .287 in 2015 but has generally regressed each year since.

The vast majority of players drafted after the first round are "org filler" types of guys. People who are employed so that the 1st rounders have other players to play against. Oregon State puts out a lot of players who play the game "the right way", so they are valued as good "org filler" types to keep around. I don't think anyone in the Mets organization thinks Wong will ever sniff MLB, but he's a dude who will prepare and play the game in a way that is a good example for the "real" prospects. Daniel Robertson is a guy I think of when I think of "org filler" types who have put in enough work to actually get a few cups of coffee in MLB as a reward for years of hard work toiling in the Minors.

Excellent points. In Omaha, my son asked me about the stat WAR. I quit paying attention to sabremetrics in about 1996, but I knew it stood for wins above replacement (player). And I thought Daniel Robertson was the definition of a corner outfield replacement player. If Joey Wong could hit .250 at AA and AAA, he would be a replacement player. Semi-related, I see the Braves released Tyler Smith.

They just added Wong on the OSU site. Although, they still don't link Jorge Reyes who is still active in the Mexican League. Reyes is playing for Roberto Kelly in Monterrey. (Monterrey has one of the best ballparks in Mexico and has led the league in attendance the past six years.) Monterrey finished second in the Mexican League last year. Reyes is their third starter. In the Spring half of the season, Reyes was 3-0 with a 1.97 ERA (fifth-best in the Mexican League on the year) and six no decisions. (He must be getting some Matt Boyd-level offensive help.) Monterrey went 68-41 last year and finished second to Tijuana. Reyes was a two-time AA All-Star and has played AAA ball for parts of the past seven seasons but has never been able to make it to The Show. Stefen Romero is also still playing for the Orix Buffaloes in Japan. Orix is currently in a three-way tie for third in the Pacific League with Chiba and Fukuoka. Romero is also not on the list.

Logan Ice was just assigned to Akron yesterday. He did not play, and I am not sure he even dressed. Ice has been ping-ponging between A and AA all year. His longest stint in AA, so far, has been nine days. That stint featured a game-winning single and a double that scored the winning run. However, outside of those two hits, he has gone 0-7 in Akron. He is hitting .196 on the year.
