Simply unbelievable!!! If this is any indication of the aptitude of the beaver nations fan base you don’t deserve a coach like Jones however my intuition indicates to me that you are unique and belong to a special few isolated thinkers. As for coach Briles, I am unable to respond because i have only met him briefly and no nothing about him....with that said, football down south creates mass migration of currency to the institutions by big donors and operational income. The head coach is influenced by the administration and in some cases directed by the major donor or donors. Coach Briles May have been compromised by these entities and became the scapegoat??? This is commonly performed in this type of atmosphere and we as the public believe what is said and written. It is probable that this is the case and coach Jones is knowledgeable of the facts however this is a non factual opinion and is mine alone!!!!
Good luck to you all in your coaching search, i have communicated the facts about coach Jones from my personal experiences with him, and what you do with it is up to you all. Maybe I’ll be back on this blog iniating another post after the next big failed hire once again advocating support for coach Jones one last time??? Wish you all the best!!!! Cheers and GO Beavs!!!!

Yes, it’s a copied thread however it is apparent that some of the opinions are unsubstantiated post based on? ?? That’s my issue. (Why and is it factual) Secondly, you obviously did not comprehend the body of the post and suggest you view it in a more detailed manner!!! Maybe then your arrogance won’t be observed as being offensive?

Please consider stating facts when sharing your opinions about a man you personally do not know. This man deserves respect for what he stands for!!!!!! If you have not had a personal relationship with coach Jones you can only base your opinions on what you read and then extract what you want to believe from that information. It indicates a lack of responsibility for anyone here to base their opinions on age and speculative information extracted from non or miss-informed information. I spent two seasons with coach Jones and he has the unique ability to facilitate positive energy amongst programs he coaches. He is recognized as one of the most brilliant offensive minds and carries the innate ability to "Unify" his players, coaches, administration, boosters, fans and donors by demonstrating faith, conviction, encouragement, strength, compassion and accountability. There are no hyrocracies with this man, he walks the walk and talks the talk, a true leader and mentor for many if not all in his program team members. For those of you that speculate or question why Junes tenure abruptly ended, I will only indicate that it was simply reasons of integrity. He has sacrificed more than any one person should endure for upholding his faith, reputation and values without defamation to other entities. Coach Jones will bring renewed energy and excitement to the program as well as increased attendance, additional donor contributions, increased recruiting interest from top athletes and a definite recruiting advantage for Pacific Islander players. Do you see the benefits here? Jones will bring immediate unification to the program, will change the culture and will WIN creating one of the most prominent programs in history. Your program would be a beneficiary of a coaching legend and more importantly a legend of a man!!!! I hope that you all will have the privileged opportunity to share your ambitions, visions and future with coach Jones because you too will recognize the man and coach we all KNOW, RESPECT and LOVE!!
GO BEAVS!!!!

Its disgusting to base your opinion on age. Bill Snyder age: 77, Rocky Long age: 67, Nick Saban age: 66, Frank Solich age: 73......all very successful active coaches.

I️ need to ask one question to all here that question the candidate June Jones. What is the basis that determines your opinion, especially those that disagree with this potential hire?

Yes, love Mac!!!! Mac recruited this QB when he was at Bama however Saban saw something in him he didn't like which was most likely mobility and its not Luke. This kid is 6"3" and 220 however has had three shoulder surgeries resulting in concern if he can play a full season or in fact, more than 1-1/2 games a season. He's a high gamble but if he can stay healthy, he will be a winner!!

You are getting a Graduate transfer QB winter term so that will help the depth chart a little and this kid can throw the ball 70+ yards even after three shoulder surgeries so he will help (IF) he can stay healthy. 6'-3" 220lbs

Does anyone agree that Chris Miller would be a great choice for a recruiter/QB Coach? I know from experience that Chris has a unique attribution of drawing people to him. His personality resonates excitement, experience and fun and the moms out there love him!!! Get the moms, get the recruit. A guy like this is very rare and would be a great hire for the next HC, plus he's a local guy If anyone doesn't know who Chris Miller is he is the current HC at West Linn High School that has taken them from a 0-10 team to a State Championship in less than three seasons. He is a former record breaking QB for Oregon, an NFL QB for Atlanta and a QB coach for the Arizona Cardinals.

the Air Raid is much simpler than the June Jones Run & Shoot and Jake would be a great hire as well. I concur that Jake should be considered however is a gamble as a HC and will come at a much higher price than June Jones.

Here are my thoughts. Hire coach Jones and put Chris Miller on the staff. Chris is a recruiting magnet and his personality resonates success not only with recruits but with the mothers as well:) Win over the mom and you land your recruit!!!! Win at OSU and you have your next HC in Chris Miller when June steps aside.... its a "Win Win"!

Clarification: Because there always seems to be JJ haters out there and with the positive posts I have written about JJ I would expect to see some negative rebuttals. No one more than I should dislike JJ. My son was a pocket passer and JJ was the only reason why chose to attend SMU. He had offers from OSU, WSU, BYU, Harvard but chose JJ. When JJ left, SMU brought in Chad Morris and my son no longer fit the offensive scheme. The result has impacted his entire career and outlook on life itself, however has taught us allot about real life outside of our little bubble we live in the NW. Listen, JJ left SMU because he has principals and values, and those values impacted 106 players and many coaching families lives and allot of us are still paying for it to this day. I'm beginning to understand why the cliché' "Nice Guys Finish Last" was written....JJ and many others have paid dearly for "Doing the Right Thing". Its time that our sacrifice for the good is rewarded to coach Jones for standing up for principals and values we all now and respect.
