Fresno didn't beat Boise? Hmm, well my bad then. The score I saw showed FSU beat Boise. Either way, 9 wins at the FBS level equals good in my book. They beat them in the last regular season game, then lost to them in the Conference Championship game ... the week following. Kind of off topic, but even more evidence the CCG's should go away. Who wants to see the the same two teams play in back to back weeks other than fans of the losing team. Why should you have to beat the same team twice, and if you beat them the first time why should the second game carry so much more weight? USC, and tOSU both conference winners, both left out of CFP. Bama didn't win their conference and lost their last game yet they're in. Last year Penn State won the conference and were left out of CFP in favor of a team they beat head to head, tOSU, and who didn't win the conference. What's the point? Money of course, but winning your conference doesn't seem to be all that important anymore in respect to a national title birth.

Totally agree - Kind of like a winter April Fool's joke. I was , like everyone, looking everywhere for confirmation - but then saw the palatial office photo and relaxed. I am not in favor of any role for Riley. I know others are, fine. Absolutely NOTHING PERSONAL, however what we saw at Nebraska was the same decline in performance that we saw in Corvallis. Specifically, ability to get hot recruits at ANY position (even QB)in the latter days of his tenure ( duplicated in Lincoln), Hanging on to an 'old' PAC 12 focused coaching staff that could not compete in the BIG10 or in the PAC-12, Inability to prepare for big games, Inability to make even one halftime adjustment, Extremely poor clock management, Inability to accept that something was going wrong and to address it or fix it, Stubborn, Stubborn, SQUARED ! Actually , Riley had several 4 star players committed at Nebraska early on this season, til the fire Riley chants started going it was like a top 10-15 class. This was going to be his third full class and it was looking great til the losses started mounting.

Disagree, unless you can play a round robin you have to have a conference championship and even with a round robin I'd rather see a championship game. Ties for conference titles are dumb. A conference championship is a playoff, by definition it does carry more weight.

The hook on the outside of the locker - to hang a bike helmet by the chin strap - clearly gave it away as fake. Fake news. Mediocre Mike did not wear a bike helmet.

That's why that gave it away. excuse me while i see myself out. No kidding. We should alter 02Beavs to "FakeBeaverNews", even if he/she was the one originally duped. It feels like my days at OSU when the Barometer ran an article on April 1st about a new basketball recruit out of Australia, who was 7' and great hops. I was so desperate for good hoops news I bought it fully - despite the obvious name of Roo Kanga. This is Roo Kanga II

I was so desperate for good hoops news I bought it fully - despite the obvious name of Roo Kanga. I remember the year they ran an April 1 story about Gary Payton, explaining how he had transferred to UNLV to play for Tark and the Running Rebels. I was completely buying it (and really pis$$ed) for about half the article.

Holy cow - that one is brilliant bill82! Looking at those scores, I guess it's short memories that are calling this season the worst ever.

The UofO newspaper staff put this together, came on campus, and replaced many of the copies of the Barometer with their version. There was a special column by Kerry Egghead on a basketball prospect.

Robert McVicar - aka The Spineless Jellyfish as we called him when I was there. The man I consider the most responsible for the destruction of Beaver football in the 70's and 80's. Bob was too busy visiting schools in Argentina, France and wherever else he wanted to take a vacation while the football program slowly burned down to the ground.
Thanks Bob.
