Maybe, just maybe Coach Rueck and the remaining players are having their post season meetings and guaging where everyone is at as far as the portal, WCC next year, their role on the team(family) and what their expectations are for the next season. Hopefully SR is laying his cards on the table and assuring the players that he is going to stay and that he truely hopes they will stay as well and continue the momentum the 23-24 team has started. Since he has mostly freshman and sophomeores, soon to be sophomores and juniors, he can get them to commit for one more year and see how far this team can go. That's my hope. I may be all wet but I am holding out hope. Go Beavs!!

That's why the reports are that some players are weighing their options. |

I sure hope so. If others have decided to leave for sure I don’t know why they haven’t announced yet. I understand they may be trying to find out what is available but at least for Reagan and Timea they can almost go wherever they want. I don’t think NIL money is a factor. I don’t believe some of the NIL numbers I have heard and I doubt any of them are looking at life altering money.

No, I don’t have any facts but I haven’t seen many facts posted in this board other than maybe a couple big name girls that are definitively taking it in. I just don’t think there’s that much NIL money in women’s basketball (any women’s sport really) with the exception of a few individuals and a few universities. Before I get called sexiest I’m a father of a 23 year old girl who played college sports. If any of the girls leaving get more than $50k I’d be very surprised. $50k isn’t much, you can make that much working the drive thru at McDonalds. If I’m wrong then more power to them!

Can you trust that link? I don’t. Is another BS "valuation" site. They make up numbers based on social media presence, NIL partners. They have no idea what the player actually receives... cash, merch, donations to a charity (or several). NIL BS has surpassed Covid stuff. |

Again based on another, different "valuation" from the same site. Again, any factual number or what she actually has access to? Nada... Her association is based on some unknown amount, some to equity, some to charity but the amount? Hence she hasn't received some known amount, not $200k, not $555k, but some ?? commitment with stipulations to use their company and whatever other stipulations aren't revealed. |
