The windows are uncovered. They removed the bricking that had enclosed them a number of years ago. The shades are pulled because in afternoon games the light distracts the shooters. They stopped an afternoon women's game against Cal some time ago to close the shades. There certainly isn't an AC on the second level of Gill. Worked a seasonal job there for several years quite some time ago and we left the windows open at night in May, June and September to cool our office off. Luckily I didn't work there in July or August. There is a sizable ridge vent. Warm air rises and exhausts out the vent - provided there is sufficient air coming in to take its place.
