We may see Segura in the 7th. 75 pitches thru 6. I don't see a reason to pull him, unless you're keeping him below 80 pitches & want a clean inning for a reliever. |

I know UW sucks at the plate but Segura is almost looking stronger as he goes.
7IP/2H/1BB/5K 84 TP 70% strike rate. He could very well go complete. What a bounce back.

That's pretty dope, how many were leadoff? 0 There was no opportunity to lead-off with a fella by the name of Kwan on the team. Tyler Malone homered in the two games in Springfield against Missouri State. Malone then homered in each game of the Civil War series. Kwan led off each game. Grenier hit second. Madrigal actually missed the two games in Springfield, still recovering from his left arm injury against Ohio State. Madrigal returned for the Civil War Series. Malone hit a home run in those five games. Malone then tapered off, not homering after those five games until Omaha, losing his starting spot during the Corvallis Regional and not playing at all in the Corvallis Super Regional. In Omaha, Malone was a pinch hitter, pinch hitting in the loss to North Carolina and the win over Washington. Malone drove in the first run against Washington with two outs, beginning the comeback from 3-0 down in the fifth. Malone scored the third run to knot the game up at three. Malone drove in the fifth run to tie the game back up at five in the sixth. Malone hit a solo shot in the eighth to make it 10-5, Malone's first homer since the Civil War Series. Malone started against the elimination game against North Carolina. Malone had a silver sombrero entering the ninth, but hit a two-out, two-run shot in the ninth to turn an 8-6 lead into a 10-6 lead. Malone had the big two-out, three-run shot in the elimination game against Mississippi State to make it 5-0. The Bulldogs chipped away thereafter, pulling within 5-2 and bringing the go-ahead run to the plate before Grenier, Madrigal, and Mully put the game away. Malone mostly ate up space in the lineup in the Championship Series against Arkansas but was a huge reason that Oregon State got to the Championship Series with a banged up Kwan and Madrigal and a completely-gassed Heimlich. |
